Sportsnet 360 did a bunch of FC Edmonton games last year...also they handle the Amway Canadian Championship (Impact, Fury, TFC, FCE, Whitecaps) so maybe they might.

No complaints with that lineup! That's pretty star studded, even compared to a low-level European league side.

I've been pleasantly surprised so far. Would like to have one aerial threat up front.

Now we need some kits. God those are taking forever

Hopefully soon. I don't understand why they need to have the kit sponsor nailed down before releasing at least the kit design.

In theory they already knew that back in October following that 'choose the kit' campaign.

Yeah exactly. Just want it done already so I can buy it. I asked on twitter and they said it should be soon as the sponsorship was being finalized.

Fury Twitter says single game tickets will be available online from March 1st.

They are also encouraging fans to buy tickets quickly as the first game will likely be a sellout.

No clue if this is hopeful optimism or if season ticket sales really have been that good.

You have to remember that all the home games in the first half of the season are at Carleton U. capacity about 5000. Games at Lansdowne dont start until the 2nd half of the season, capacity 20-25,000

I dont think the organisation is there. I think the songs they come up with are subpar (not that i could do any better). There was also a small twitter incident when the other supoorters group were announced as they seemed upset that someone else would take people away from their group. I did consider joining them for some time but was left rather unimpressed.

I have met the organizer of Stoney Monday Riot and was actually handed a business card with all their contact information. Was a nice touch. They have a polished website and what looks to be a good blog writer. I have not seen them in action but they look to be a much more polished, organized group. Promising.
You are quite right, I have been following the boys since day one. I don't trust them to organize an orgy in a brothel... maybe they drink too much to get it up . But regardless they do have heart and on game day I count on that. I haven't picked a group yet. I may for the fall season depends during the spring. Spit and polished doesn't work too well. I have meet Military officers that are alll spit n polish but come game day they fail in the field.

I do agree with Jetpack BBSC is unorganized n their current leadership needs to kick it into to gear

That being said I admire passion like if a team is losing and they are still singing. I have looked at groups and are unsure of who to join since I haven't seen them all on a real game day. BBS got that during a CSL game but i want them testing vs a NASL team before I ive them or another group a thought. This is my interview for all 3 groups.

Show me on game day why you are a better group, Am I an Ultra, Rio tier, or a Bytown Boy. These groups need to prove it to me.

Yahhhh I joined their facebook group and it's amateur hour to the max. If their leader is who I think it is, then he's horribly unprofessional, constantly mis-spelling announcements and generally making fairly ignorant statements. I made a suggestion on there and he said they lacked the corporate sponsorship to do anything, but seemed unsure of how even to approach anyone for that support... If the group grows I'd be happiest seeing a real leadership election so we can get someone who is able to further the game, the team, and the supporters club effectively.

Well they are changing leadership in the Fall, it was a decision made by the group when CCFC fell to keep it going. I cant wait to see who comes up. I think I know who the leader is as well. He needs ALOT of work (which is an understatement) as in training before he can run the group properly. I think they may have a ghost on here cuz this morning there was a post on their forum regarding elections and leadership... mind you I ghost most forums until I find something to say.

Great article on Ottawa Fury FC's first 11 players (and likely starting lineup).

Regardless, absolutely quality signing with great veteran experience. Just goes to show how much money we are capable of throwing out there (in NASL terms) early on. Dos Santos is building a great starting roster.

Ditto for stickying this thread.

Horizontal beams going into the 'veil'.

Can't wait to catch a Fury FC game. Would bet that our July 20 game there against the Cosmos will be the first real event at TD Place. Should be a good one!
