Governing Bodies - Adult Recreational Hockey

The idea behind this thread is to create a resource center of governing bodies, leagues and articles that will serve to enhance the adult recreational hockey experience for all players at various levels and in various regions of different countries.

In Canada, CARHA has provided guidance to the adult recreational hockey player since 1975.

I'm not sure if you are looking for more of a macro level resource, but if you are near the South Bay, Los Angeles, the Toyota Sports Center, home of the LA Kings practice facility, has a thriving hockey community. Especially after the 2012 Cup.

Excellent. The local governance with a rules supplement to the USA Hockey Rules reflects how older leagues or governing bodies started years ago.
