Hainsey one-times the puck from in front of the net down the ice... he's been sharp all night... Foy missed the net... Brandner and Hendrickson cycling... Hossa passes to Souray who jumped out of the box and was hit by Jason Marshall.. Now Perezhogin with a nice drive, stopped by the Wild and dumped down the ice.

And that's why Marshall is still on the team hehehe. TAKE THAT! Don't you go cross checking Bouchard, who is only 5'10" at best.

Oh and Brisebois

But we got Hendrickson who likes to fall on his ass all the time and get injured...I think that's his upside. His downside is...well we don't speak about that on the boards.

How is Park playing? I'm really worried that he's going to get cut this year...

Toward the end of last season, Brisebois had a tendency to try the triple-axle while playing the point. Traverse also steps on invisible banana peels all the time.

Traverse good job against Bombardier... Audette passes in front from behind the net, but its too far for anyone to get... Ferlands shot blocked by Zyuzin and goes into the crowd... damn, they're playihng the trap.

Yes, well Traverse is known for shooting sticks at Vincent Lecavalier...

I haven't heard much of Park, but Stevenson seems to be having a pretty good game.

Bulis is lighting up the Juneau Dackell line now. Hendrickson knocks down Perezhogin. Both teams changing up. icing against Montreal.

Oh and Marshall is known for wanting to kiss Bertuzzi (look at last's year's photo of them squaring off)

Ribeiro seems to be lost tonight. Not his best game.

7:00 to go in the 3rd. Habs on the PP.

Well, Ribeiro was doing a good job in the first, but evaporated somewhere between the first and second period.

Man, we never shoot on the powerplay. Penalty is over. I dont thikn we got a shot. Well there we go. The announcers have just said we only have 3 this period so far. Dackell blocks a shot using his ankle. Theo stops a shot with his stick.

Veilleux to Chouinard who missed the wide open net! Brandner 1-on-1 vs Rivet... pass to Hendrickson, shoots high... another shot missed the net... Theo out of net... Kuba blocks a souray shot... dowd missed an open net... bulis giveaway to dowd... game over as the canadiens scramble to score on a loose puck in front of the net off a nice audette shot.

Game over.

2-1 minnesota.

Maybe it's not such a good idea to trade Perreault

Juneau seems to have done a decent job at the circle, but Ribeiro????? Sheesh he's got some work to do.

I like what I heard from Hossa tonight if anything. Seems like he's dedicated to please his coach by using his size more and earn his spot on the top 2 lines. Other than that, it's near scary (especially thinking of that boring system we'll have to endure all year. Better be worth it...).

Ribeiro was quite good on the faceoffs last year.

-pause-

better turn off the CJAD now before I get myself into trouble.

For one, Hendrickson never fell on his ass.

Seriously, the Wild seem to be doing a solid job of following their coaching system, and although pre-season usually doesn't count, I'd bet that Minnesota will make the playoffs again this year, but it will be boring hockey. Suggestion: become a Senators fan

Players who impressed me:

Veilleux: He always seems to be at the top of his game when playing against Montreal, and he sure was in top form again tonight with a lot of good shots. Whenever heard his name mentioned, I thought 'uh-oh' and then gripped the rim of my beer can

Fernandez: Wasn't outstanding, but seemed to never make mistakes (except in the last play of the game, where we almost scored).

Marshall: Sheesh, he could hit. My speakers actually shook from one of the hits he delivered during the game.

Brandner: Should make the NHL. He's big, and he can hit. He can also skate and shoot.

Well, just my thoughts.

My three stars:

1-Jim Dowd
2-Nick Schultz
3-Stephane Veilleux

By the way, does anyone know who actually won the three stars?

canadians reported to be in talks with french superstar

Canadians are said to be offering Franis Lemieux 550,000 1 year deal but lemieux is said to be asking for a 2 year deal around 1.5 million .
Francis(the stickler) lemieux who club placed 2nd last year toiled in the russian elete league with some impressive stats.Lemieux played in all but 5 of the 77 games, missing all 5 games due to taking a deflected puck in the groin area. When asked about the incident lemieux said "yeah that was pretty nuts"it just something that you have to deal with.Lemieux insists that just because he got hit in the nuts ,that he still won't wear a cup.I played my whole career with out a cup i don't intend on puting on now.In 72 games Lemieux racked up 1 goal and 3 assitst for 4 points."I felt really good last year, and i think my point totals show that".
"When i think of all the great Canadian players that put on a habs jersey i think of ,Terry Ryan,Andre Raciot,Brad Brown.Coach Jullien thinks lemieux will fit in.Any time you can put a guy who had a 4 point season on your team you got to like that,he's certainly is a sniper.
Lemeiux 23 plays center and is 4'10 156 lbs.with my size i create alot of room out front of the net.
simply marvelous!
