Booth is valued by Gillis. No trades coming.

I have a really nice bag of smarties. I will give you them if you take Booth.

I actually see this possibly happening, and would be okay with it. May even be tempted to add and try for both.

Sedin - Sedin - Moulson
Higgins - Kesler - Santorelli
Burrows - Ott - Hansen
Weise - Richardson - Kassian

That's actually pretty damn solid.

Can't see the Sabres having interest in Booth given the fact they are rebuilding.

If it meant getting a possible mid-1st, I would think long and hard about it. If Walsh's tweet that the lower limit will be around $55m next year, we have to spend $25m somewhere. Our RFAS won't eat up more than $8m-$10m of that. While they could give a chunk of change to Miller, Miller may not want to stay there.

The team is going to have to get some overpaid filler in next year's lineup. I'd rather have it be overpaid filler with one year left on the contract than overpaying UFA guys for 3-4 years.

Booth and a 2nd for future considerations/a late pick, which is to say he has negative value.

Nah just future considerations. The Canucks wouldn't trade anything of value to get rid of him when they can just compliance him this offseason.
