Deep Unpleasant Thoughts

The Sabres qualify Satan in order to trade him, but Regier can't find a team that'll meet his asking price. As a result the Sabres hold on to Satan until the trading deadline while Miro makes daily comments about how he's going to be traded providing a distraction for the team and fans alike,

The Sabres look at all 3 goalies in camp and there's no clear cut winner. Miller is sent down to Rochester while Regier waits over half the season or more trying to make up his mind. In January someone reminds Regier that Miller (assuming he signed his qualifying offer for a one year deal) will become a Group VI UFA if he doesn't play in 10 NHL games this season.

And then after missing the playoffs. A clerical error in the Team payroll is found. Putting them at 28.7 million for the season
disqualifying them from receiving revenue sharing.

Sadly, you're likely not too far off mark.

Regeir and company certainly have the benifit of a lockout hangover to replay the 2003-04 season.

Let's hope that doesn't happen. Maybe we should dig up some old threads and forward those to the sabres brass to let them know that the fans haven't forgotten the mess they had two years ago...

If either of these scenarios play out, DB48 might pull a Johnny Rambo. I can see it now: fat blunt in one hand, M60 in the other, bandolier draped across his chest, stalking the parking lot of HSBC muttering random obscenities.

Cheer up

At least they had the fax machine in good working order to get MacArthur signed.

That was honestly what I was thinking about at 4:45pm yesterday. Scary stuff. I do wish they had reconsidered signing LP Martin, but I'm glad they got Clarke in the fold.
