We struggle against quick teams plus the back to back doesn't help. Hopefully Mason can keep us in it.

Holmgren likes this team.

That statement is becoming quite an indictment

Is every team that gets blown out in Chicago lacking in pride, or are they just too good and too fast for a lot of teams in the league to cope with?

I just meant don't come out sulking because you got roughed up last night. Come out mad that you got embarrassed on national TV by a team that you're supposed to be in the same league as. Last night looked like AHL versus NHL.

I wish we were as good as Chicago. That must be fun to watch that team.

Whereas watching our team is like watching them skate in mud.

Its really time to pull the rip cord here.

Bench Schenn/Mesz

Play Gus & call up Alt to play.

The Defense needs to be MOBILE...SKATING...MOVING FORWARD.

When I heard about these games, it basically sounds like the D just stands there wanting help.

How many points you guys think Briere picks up tonight? I say 3, that's just how it is with the Flyers.

There will be a video presentation of some sort tonight. Similar to that with Simon Gagne in the recent past.

Yeah, figured as much. Was gonna get tickets for the game as a result but with my finals and stuff I didn't feel up to it.

Thanks again for your hard work on the GDT MSE!

I still remember when Handzus had been the slowest forward on the ice in his last year with the Flyers which was like a decade ago but he smoked our players out there yesterday. I guess Briere will at least come up with a couple of goals....

Maybe this is the ass-kicking that this franchise needs right now.
Time to face the truth and stop making excuses! Bench Hartnell, waive Rosehill and make room for McGinn and Akeson to see what they can do and if they are in the mix for the years to come. Same applies for Gus and Alt...

Why delay the inevitable and keep on losing, crawling around and below 500 till the end of the season dressing players like Mesz who have no future with the club? I'd rather see the learning curve with more prospects in the lineup. They missed the right point of time for a rebuild more than once over the last couple of season already...

That first line pretty much ensures that Giroux will never score again.

There you go that almost guarantees he has a big game tonight. All former flyers and struggling players light up the Flyers.

I think Akeson should be given a chance to score on Giroux's wing. Giroux has the size and corner worker of Voracek, Giroux the set up guy and let Akeson slip in somewhere to rip one home.

For defense:

Coburn-Timonen
Grossmann-Gus
Mez-Schenn

Just please god bench Rosehill and Streit.

That 4th line would probably have the best overall skating we've all had year, especially with Raffl and Rinaldo having some wheels on them. That Hartnell, Schenn, Simmonds line should help be more of a grind/get-dirty-goal kind of line.
