This team will go nowhere as long as Galchenyuk is a winger instead of a center.

The kid is so good, it's ridiculous! His takeaway ability is already second best on the team (behind Markov) and the best among forwards.

I don't think you guys realize how good of a player we have and we are just wasting him on the wing. We don't even let him take faceoffs in the offensive zone.

Well DD is useless on the wing because he can't win board battles.

Eller and Plekanec are way better defenisvely. Neither of them are being displaced for Galchy.

He simply needs to wait his turn. He's only 19 and will be moved when there's an opening.

For those of you talking about the USA chants being classless you are taking it the wrong way. On the Flyers feed they showed the arrival of a private first class troop surprising his family by coming home from deployment 3 weeks earlier than originally expected. Thus prompting the USA chants, had nothing to do with playing your team.

I can't be the only one worried about this team puck's possession can I? We're constantly getting pined in our own zone. The D's have to make a better job getting first to the puck and moving it fast reading the pressure. The wingers need to do a better job absorbing the check/controlling the puck to pass to the center. Right now, whoever has the puck in our zone, the game plan is flip the puck in the neutral zone once again so they gain possession to dump it in once more. Ridiculous. They just use the glass and hope to put it far away enough so they can next and let the others handle the situation.

The players are one thing, we're clearly not an elite team ATM. We're still looking for D's able to handle the pressure other than Subban/Markov and Emelin although it's rougher lately(pretty normal after the high of a return from an injury). But, the way they play has to be better. You don't see the swarm defensive anymore, it's much more of a man to man down low with the wingers going down the slot. Well we keep losing these 1vs1 battles and the pointers are ALWAYS free to shot at will. This pisses me off big time. When your opponent wins a battle, you want him to look and say ''****, I have no options''. Right now it's ''My D's are always wide open so I'll pass them the puck and rush to put my butt in Carey's face''.

Yeah, that 10 games sting was nice. But we stole many many games and we had the edge in others closer. We're definitely not playing the hockey we played last year, that's for sure.

Don't worry, people are just bitter about losing. USA-USA-USA stuff happens all the time, and while many are annoyed by it it's not a big deal. Congrats on the win tonight

Just trying to let everyone know what happened to start the chant. Thanks always enjoy watching the Canadians, even on their off nights they have a lot of enjoyable talent.

Well then bench DD... but of course Therrien don't have the guts to do it.

As for Eller and Plekanec, yes they are better defensively but offensively Galchenyuk is better than Eller and is just as good as Plekanec right now.
Plus, you have the luxury of having 2 really strong 2 way centers because you can ease Galchenyuk up by giving him offensive zone starts. THIS is how he'll learn.

Couldn't agree with you more. It's time to start playing Galchenyuk at center. It really a waste of time having DD playing there.

Put Galchenyuk with Pacman so he can forget his man love for DD. Send DD to Hamilton and bring up anyone as long as he is a winger....because I know are best forwards down on the farm are also small.

This is really stupid with DD. Galchenyuk is our future and there wasting time trying to get DD going!!!

Which is why the signing made no sense. I guess they weren't expecting Galchenyuk to move to center before his 5th NHL season

I know the Habbies sucked tonight but Philly's defense actually looked pretty good for once . . . or did we just suck that bad?

The Habs did not score in almost 7 consecutive periods talk about an offence grinding to a screeching halt.

We've been pretty damn good defensively this season.
It's really the offense which has hurt us so far.

I can't think of a single rational reason for Bournival to sit over a few players last night. Bournival at least brings constant effort and creates things on the ice.

Just understand that DD is keeping Bournival from playing. I can't think of a single team that would allow that.

Playoffs should be fun.

Insane to see that Therrien was really succesful at bringing Bournival confidence to that kind of low. The kid was way too good for his liking. I would call it incredible but then I'll remember who is coaching....

This is what happens when the team scores 1 goal in two games...2 loses. I still think this team is an above average team but relies so much on streaks to stay alive.
