Gazdic is climbing the ranks. Lucic has a couple of losses this year.
Almost all Lucics fights this year have been draws.

Yeah Prout edged him and he barely beat Engelland(both were tired) and this was a draw.

Pretty close fight.

If I had to choose , I'd give the edge to Gazdic.

Such a good dance! I hate Quasimodo, but I think he was better. Still, a DRAW.

dropyourgloves has the fight a draw. hockeyfights has Gazdic winning with 42 percent of the votes and Lucic winning by 41 percent of the votes. These are all fan voted opinions and it's that close. A couple of fans could go there right now, vote for Lucic, and it would say that Lucic has the majority of the votes. Suffice to say, it's close enough to call it a draw.

I'd rather take a hard punch to the face then a hard punch to the body. There's more reports of people dying to punches to the stomach then the face.

Punches to the head result in more injuries/death, unless you're talking about punching babies. Then well you're just ill.

I gave an edge to Gazdic because

A) Lucic jumped him after refusing to go, Gazdic didn't have any time to react
B) Quality > Quantity
C) Gazdic dominated the fight once his helmet/visor came off

Close call but like I said, slight edge to Gazdic.

It depends on where the punch lands. You can take a punch to the crown of your head and shake it off, no problem. But even the biggest tough guy is going to have a hard time seeing through his tears if he gets punched directly in the nose. Likewise body shots can be crippling, or they can be completely ineffective, depending where they land. I'd much rather get punched on top of the head than in the kidneys.

Oh I see, pick the ineffective spot on the head to compare vs a devastating spot on the body. Me personally, I'd rather get punched on my wrist than my nose.

I can see why MMA fighters and boxers avoid punching to the head and go all out on the body to end fights and devastate opponents.

Agreed - Gazdic's bombs landed Lucic's didn't so much. Funny how excited the announcer got for his fellow employee Lucic. They're supposed to be homers but sheesh...

It's a draw. You could give a slight, slight edge to Gazdic.
