Tuukka Rask

I am not sure why Flyers traded down. Flyers could of picked up Tuukka Rask with 20 overall pick... He was rank 2nd best goalie this year's draft. I am still scratching my head ... I thought Flyers did not do a good job this year... In my mind they did barely ok ...

And where would you like him to play. We have Esche who is young, Niittymaki is 25 I think, Beachemin is a projectable NHL player, we're not the Canadiens where we add goalies for the hell of it.

i loved that pick at 29. Downie is a pain in the ass to play against from what i understand and will do anything to help his team win. Sure is going to be fun watching him out there against a team like Toronto if Tucker is still playing for them.

This draft was all about stocking up for 2006, either because they feel it will be a better draft, or in order to use their four second round picks as trading chips for deadline accquisitions.

It was a rather dissapointing draft day for the Flyers if you wanted to see Clarke stock the prospect cupboard, but was still a success in terms of assett management.

the 06 draft is deeper. So i have no problem with the trading of this years picks for picks next season and like what was mentioned earlier the picks can be used at the trade deadline.
