It's the haters who are ready to throw him under the bus. People who are in hockey are the ones who actually know hockey, and in fact I wouldn't be surprised if he is rushed into top 4 duty -- because especially with those groin injuries you want to get as much as of a workout as possible to make sure you get the full range of motion and build that power back up as soon as possible. Beets.

Erskine was very good before he got hurt last year. Anyone arguing for patience with Green should be arguing with patience for Erskine, right?

Call me crazy, but I like Erskine on the 3rd pairing. I would go with this:

Alzner - Green
Orlov - Carlson
Erskine - Schmidt/Oleksy

As much as I love alzner and carl together, we cant have green and orlov together. If anything maybe we should move orlov down to 3rd pairing and erskine up to 2nd with Carl.

Wouldn't have mind Fehr missing these 2 games aswell if that meant calling up Wrecker aswell.

Okay maybe that's going bit too far.

lol wrecker is a beast for sure. Fehr is pretty streaky and hasn't been playing as well 5 on 5 as he has earlier this season. That being said, he was probably playing above his skill level for most of it.

An Erskine-Oleksy pairing shouldn't exist. None of them has NHL skating ability.

I think most of those people are. I think those that think Erskine's return signals doom are those that usually find a doom scenario including with Green.

Surprised Grubi gets another start. Wonder if they're taking a good long look, or if they want Hotls to cool off for a few games.

thats a good point but oates has a habit of playing favorites to the extreme of making orlov and erat request a trade. i hope that doesnt happen with schmidt if hes proven to be better than erskine.

I hate to put Orlov on the third pairing because he has played so well, but we can't have Erskine and Oleksy together.

Alzner-Green
Erskine-Carlson
Orlov-Oleksy
