"No excuses" is the dumbest motto a team could have, especially in a city like this.

The team is expected to answer questions after every loss and no matter what they say it's going to be perceived as an excuse and gladly thrown back in their face by the media.

Not that it really matters in the grand scheme of things, just watching TSN's preview for the game tonight.

I think locker room mottos are ALWAYS exagerrated by the media and team to some degree. Especially during the playoffs when nearly 16 teams have one, yet the media acts like the deepest team in the playoffs is doing well because of the certain locker room motto. They are really not that important.

How effective are mottos in a locker room anyway?

With a motto like "No excuses" you should expect alot more scruitny after every loss.

I think it was smart for last year after the 11-12 season that went into the toilet.

This year is a bit different.

Underrated post.

Not feeling too confident about this one, but hey they haven't beat us in 15 years so maybe we'll find a way to break out of that slump tonight!

... Or the law of averages will catch up to us. One or the other.

Should be an internal thing. I also find all those hard hats and silly jackets pretty lame too, but I know it's a team bonding/unity thing and the players enjoy it.

Hope Gorges is gonna give the boys a good original speech before the game today to get them pumped up. They could use some motivation.

Yeah, I don't have access to the RDS feed tonight unfortunately.

I usually get the Habs on GCL but since I live in Phoenix and it's against the Coyotes, I'm blacked out from the game.

It is a GCL stream, I just got into it a different way using some instructions I found on ******. I figure it's just easier to screencast myself watching it since the instructions are a little complex.

Not that I'm calling any of y'all technologically stupid

I got an early Christmas present today, 2 tickets directly behind the Habs bench on 2 January against Dallas! I sat right behind the bench some years ago when Carbo coached his last game.

Hopefully Bourque can add something to this team. It seems like since we've gotten him he's spent 90% of his time with us on IR. He spent a whole chunk of last season on IR because of concussion & this is already his 2nd stint on IR this year.
