staal it is. not a bad pick, pretty solid

i would have liked a foward better but staal is a top 10 pick the rangers are getting at 12

Well I'm kind of neutral on this pick. I don't like the way he skates but I haven't seen him nearly enough to judge. He's big and solid, a crease-clearing kid and that's something we needed. Kudos to the guys for having the balls to trade up a little.

The excitement is over for another few hours.
