Care to expand which aspects we took a step forward with?
Coaching?
Structure?
Special teams?
Player development?
Player personnel?
Defense?
Goaltending?

Gordon and Hall...2 steps forward. I was talking about players not all of this other crap. Too difficult to put a positive spin on anything anymore.

I intentionally missed the game.
I didn't want to see a bigger, stronger team with a good goalie play a solid system to perfection and illustrate to the Oilers how bad they really are.

sorry katz and Lowe. you suck. another benchmark game to measure yourself against a good team and you again came up short. you're only good at raising ticket prices.

It could've been a lot worse. As physical as LA could've been we weren't exactly getting pushed around as much as one would've thought. Arco had two big hits, one that sent a king into the bench and one that stumbled Matt Greene. Then he himself got rocked and I don't think returned.

The one thing I just don't understand is how Eberle had the puck so much close to the Kings net, but only nets 1 shot.

Another thing we have to do is watch the replays on what the Kings did when they didn't have support in the offensive zone. They either tie it up along the boards or they would put it on the net or fire it up and around the boards to another King that was coming off via a line change. Sure beats our pass it back and take the puck out of the offensive zone. I know Yak use to get crapped on for playing that Russian style of turning back when there is trouble, but my god do we have a lot worse offenders.

As for Yak, please explain why you put yourself in such horrid positioning on that first PP? He literally just needed to move 2 feet closer to the boards and would've been open for the one-timer. Instead he moves closer to the LA defenseman, very odd play on that PP.

Along with a few other players who did better under Krueger-RNH, Dubnyk, Smid, Gagner, J Schultz (maybe)...Oh yeah, the pp too.

I missed the game so cannot offer any comments on it.
However it doesn't surprise me that Gagner **** the bed yet again, at fault for all 3 goals according to the post gamer and pulling a dash 3 from the game.
Yakupov I believe has had his confidence completely demolished by Eakins but that said he appears to be a completely 1 dimensional player and a terrible top draft pick when Murray was clearly the guy the team needed.
Eakins felt it was a good game....I suppose Gagner gets yet another free pass.

Forbes said ticket prices for the Oilers went up about 30% in the last year.
hope you season ticket holders really enjoy your "free" mittens.

Hall was top 10 in scoring last season. How is he a step forward?

Are we better? I must be missing something because I don't ever remember being so imbarrased to be an Oilers fan ever. Ever

Hall's passing is freakin awful.
Eberle's effort was freakin awful.
Yakupov is playing like crap.
And don't get me started on Gagner.

Can this season just end already?

We brought in a coach that totally destroyed the progress the players were making he changed up everything from dressing room to game and he is a utter fail,

You are embarrassed because this team has sucked for the past 7 years. The roster is the best we've put forward in a long time.

What? He has not only survived but been one of our best players night and night out as well as being our most physical forward.

All of our players have regressed from last year (Even Hall in terms of giveaways). This points to the coach. Eakins has no system, heck he doesn't even go on the ice during practices which is total BS. If we had Kreuger we would at least have more points than Calgary. Also, Lowe needed to be fired years ago

Gagner smashing his stick over the net after the LA goal was the most effort he put in during that shift.

I am getting good at this. I don't watch games I know we are going to lose.

Although I haven't seen them play in the last four games, I feel like I haven't missed anything.

Looking forward to watching tonight. Not that I am guaranteeing a win, but they have a chance in this one.

Pretty pleased that after skipping STL on Saturday, I get to watch four games in a row.

Glad I chose the brown bottles instead of this game. Rally the troops, it's time for a boycott

Clearly you didn't see the Oilers play in the defensive zone last year.

Bryz has an outstanding .936 save %, yet he has lost 3 of 4 games. Sad. Too bad he can't score or play defence.
