He and the Euro Forward the Rockets drafted this summer were set to battle for the 2nd Euro spot (with the first pretty much given to Edler on D). IMO this could have quite the negative affect on Darzins development, if he is released from the Rockets. I don't see him making ur AHL squad halfway thru the season and if they don't find somewhere for him to play it could be back to Latvia for him.
