He could be next year's Sean Couturier and his offensive ability may take some time too.

As for Leier he's a sixth round pick that made team Canada, that's spectacular experience. It's not like he looked completely lost out there.
Leier was a 4th rounder

Seems Hägg has been tasked with sticking to Teräväinen like glue... like he was yesterday with Grigorenko.

Plus with Petterson being suspended he's getting to play a lot more.

People arguing about how "disappointing" Laughton was are falling into the same trap as the main board neanderthals who argue about how "disappointing" Couturier has been.

Role matters, and Laughton was not put in any position to put up points. That whole team was a mess-- if you weren't getting significant offensive zone starts and PP time, you weren't going to light it up.

I was only disappointed by how Laughton was used, not by how he played.

That Olofsson-Bengtsson pairing is laughable in its own end!

It seems like Djoos-Arnesson and Hagg-Norrell are going to play about 25 minutes each if the first is anything to go by!

Lol at all the moaning about the refs on the main boards. Finland should consider themselves lucky that they're potentially one shot away from gold.

I agree, but at the end of the day, we need a more prolific scoring threat, so not seeing one of our better prospects produce anything is disheartening. It's one tournament and definitely not worth changing opinions over.

I think the angst is a lot more a reflection on the state of our forward prospects than it is on the player. We need a prospect that produce his own offense and finish in various ways. Just don't have it.

Shame. Was looking good all game shutting down the other team. His one big mistake costs his team the gold.

Wow 99% of the Fins in the GDT act like absolute children. I would be embarrassed to be from the same country as them. So pathetic.
