Canuck Prospects at the 2006 WJC

Of all of our prospects which ones seem like locks to make their respective National Teams and which ones have decent chances to make it or are long shots to make it?

Canada:

Luc Bourdon: Sportsnet considers him a lock and i don't see many dmen on team canada guaranteed a spot other than Barker

Jullien Ellis - Plane : Was the best goalie in the Q or one of the top so that should be looked at favorably. Would have to beat out Dubynk, Price and Pelletier, Pier-Olivier. But at the least the backup job should be his to lose.

United States of America:

Cory Schnider- Should be the #1 goalie at the WJC for team USA.

Sweden:

Alexander Edler: Could be there but i heard earlier that he might not crack the team

Denmark:

if they are there Jannik Hansen will play for them as they are Denmark

Slovakia:

Mario Bliznak (love that name) Played for the Slovak U-18 team could make the team

Anyone i am missing? Disagree with anything?

Edit: Added Bliznak

Maybe Mario Bliznak for Slovakia. He was on the U18 team I think.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Bourdon play in person.

I'd be surprised if he didn't make it. Sweden's going to be playing their round-robin games in the interior, right in his backyard. He'll have a three-month advantage on the other Swedes in getting acclimatized to the smaller ice and the arenas' quirks.

Hansen won't be there, Denmark isn't in the top pool this year.
