Think he was chirping at RNH going down so easily. He is pretty "delicate".

Not surprised by the defense as we know they are horrible there, but I'm surprised they are having trouble scoring.

It's become a losing culture there. They don't know how to win, if there was any team in the NHL who could use players like Morrow, Arnott and Langenbrunner it would be the Oilers.

EDM has defensive numbers pretty often, but their structure and breakout support is pathetic. Its like they never learned positioning.

Elliott was fantastic that period, best he's looked all year.

Well Ells looked good that period. Same for the Schwartz-Berglund-Tarasenko.

Everyone else has been pretty meh though

Morrow has been bad. The speed of the Oilers is just too much for him. Have seen him get burned multiple times already.

I agree to some degree, but to me the bigger issue are the players not doing what the coaches tell them. I know they haven't had great coaches, but it is pretty elementary gaffes that the team continues to make. Any coach that makes it to the NHL can at the very least rectify a great many of their problems. I get tired of hearing it because it has become a talking piece, but there is no buy-in there.

Another great save by Elliott. I can't complain about leading 1-0 on the road after 1. Elliott has been great. Now, we need the offence to heat up. Nice that Stewart is playing well. Let's hope he gets well into the teens in goals before cooling off. If he finishes over 22 goals, he'll have saved his job. He has 11 in only about 40% of the season. He's now proecting towards about 26 goals on the season.

Blues are fortunate to have the lead. Ells was excellent. The defensive coverage and support along the boards were not.

To be fair, they have so many #1 overall picks over there. I would bet that a lot of them were allowed to do whatever the hell they wanted to for a very long time.

They've went through multiple coaches, maybe they just haven't had the right one. I think they should go after Laviolette and see how he does. Like you said they aren't buying in, some thing has to change there but they've tried making some changes and nothing seems to work for them. They're going to be really good once they get it going but that dream is starting to seem further and further from becoming a reality.

On another note, that flash forward with Steen was hilarious.

No way that should have been offside.

Tarasenko shouldn't have went so wide though.
