Since the big winning streak the Habs are 3-4-0. as far as rough patches go it's not bad...as long as they can come back from the week long break rejuvenated.

A lot of games in the last 2 weeks they have looked gassed. Emelin needs the break more than anybody, he looked pretty good after coming back but looks like the tank is empty the last bit. Eller surely needs a fresh start, he's struggled to generate offense after a good start. Subban has also not been his best the last 2-3 weeks.

Sure does.

I hate Therrien never adjusting in game, never stops the bleeding by taking a time out to talk to his players. He only calls a time out after an icing.

Or...he plays through bruises too. For whatever reason guys in the locker room call him a 'good player' and a 'warrior' over his career. Perhaps for such a small guy who gets pushed around, he too plays at less than 100%. Not saying he would play through what eller hasn't but everyone hurts by that point, DD included.

At end of the day, you're right, some players are better suited for playoff hockey I just don't think DD will make or break a team at all. I think he'll be less effective, but not a negative.
If that doesn't make him a negative, come playoff time, I don't know what does.

Anyways, this team is disgusting to watch. Dump and chase, chase after the puck, play along the boards, dump, chase, boards, dump, chase. No ****ing creativity whatsoever. None. This cannot keep on happening every single game.

Another game proves Therrien sucks.
Gionta looks very desinterested. I wonder why?

I hate hate hate this game. How many times we lead by 3-0 in tis season, and win the game a very hard way, at least 3 times if I'm not wrong. Damn
We always let the opponents coming back so easily.

So if Crosby is at 90% come playoff time he's a negative?

DD is a positive to this team(not Crosby, I was making an extreme for a reason). He won't make 14 points in 17 games in the playoffs but he'll still chip in, that's my point. Unless of course, the WHOLE team sucks as we saw last year. Pacioretty no points, Eller injured(lacking that presence) and other factors killed us.

Because one assist changes everything. Just like this overtime goal by DD changes the entire perception of him as a hockey player. I look at these players based on what they give night in and night out, I'm not going to single out hot streaks or when they produce, it is how they play when they aren't producing and what they mean to the overall skill level of the team.

Its the same thing we said about the Leafs. They were winning and playing bad hockey. Only where they were getting unsustainable shooting percentage, we were getting unsustainable save percentage. Price and Budaj have been unbelievable behind a very suspect team defense and poor possession numbers but over 82 games, over the flow of a game, it can't last. Price made a bunch of beauty saves that normal goalies wouldn't have made tonight and still had 3 go behind him.

Tonight being the imperative word.

They were all particularly bad tonight if you ask me.

They just look tired. They had good intentions going in, hence the first period. Just ran out of juice. For whatever reason.

Probably 2nd best actually... Maybe MT really hated Subban's penalty, which was more of a "team" penalty than anything else.

Sad to say, he really was.

Diaz had a poor game. Murray had a bad game. Markov was just there. Subban had a turnover that led to a penalty that led to the tying goal. Emelin still struggling.

Yes, Bouillon was our best DMan tonight, as strange as that sounds.

Therrien and his famous press conferences.....

When the team wins: They followed the game plan
When the team loses: They didn't follow the game plan.

So he really thinks he's a genius. Thinks he has every team figured out and that the outcome of the game is only and directly related to HIS wisdom. Good job MT. Coach of the year.

Markov and Subban were better than Bouillon. I don't think Therrien literally beleives bouillon was the best, I just think he credited him for playing well.

Isn't winning the ultimate goal?

Good teams can win without their A effort.

Not hard to do, Subban had a rough night other than his goal, Emelin looks gassed. Murray is Murray.

Bouillon was solid. I'm sure playing with Subban is a lot easier than Tinordi/Beaulieu/Murray coming off two injuries.

That's the thing, I think Bouillon had a very good game, but Subban was still far and away the best Habs defenseman tonight

I laughed hard when DD scored. I had just yelled at my tv because he had played way too much.

Fact of the matter is, he had a couple of good offensive shifts. Gally sucked hard. The kid is gassed. He's always on his azz all the time.

Therrien made sure his protege Boubou got maximum protection by playing with Subban. Imagine that, going from the press box to first pairing.

Markov played a pretty bad game, paired with a slooooow reaction Emelin. Ouchhhh.

And this team won't win a thing if the forwards continue to cheat when the d's have thepuck.

Well I hate Desharnais (as a player, not as a human being), but that was a beauty of a shot. I'm kinda happy for him, but it means Therrien will play him even more now.. 25 m of Desharnais nest game? lol
