I'm not a huge DD fan. And I agree that Gio is probably on the way out. But gotta give credit where credit's due. At the end of the day I jumped out of my seat when DD scored, but I probably agree with you that overall it would be nice to have an improvement at that position. Same for Gio. But again end of the day, these are guys that really care if you ask me. And it's not their fault that they are where they are. At least that's my opinion.

2 trophies that should go back to what it was before. And if there are trophies missing....make some. But Selke and Norris shouldn't almost exclusively be awarded based on number of points. Yes, Datsyuk is a pretty good 2-way beast...to say the least. But I would not name him there. Have another trophy called "the best of the rest" "The best 2-way". The Selke, for me, is a defensive player first. The Norris is as perfect as you can found of an offensive AND defensive player. Have the Coffey trophy if you want to nominate Karlsson. (not disrespecting Coffey's defensive game but then...it wasn't THAT perfect to say the least)

Yes, Bouillon was our best DMan tonight, as strange as that sounds.
Bouillon looked good because he played with the number one guy.

Has DD ever played 25 minutes?

He's played 18 or more minutes 5 times in 36 games.

I wouldn't worry.

Should they give an assist to Gally on Plek's goal? I'm not sure if the way the Preds' dman handled the puck is enough to negate his initial pass to Gionta.

Very lucky win tonight : Price awesome, OT goal
Phoenix, Lucky win : Price awesome, Lucky goal on the PK
Islanders, Lucky win: Price awesome, OT goal

How many can we win with this pattern????

With a lot of luck , we BARELY win over Nasville, Islanders and Phoenix.
Good thing...we've scored goals. No line change...everything is fine!!

I thought I was exagerating positively there...I mean, I did have Coffey's name with Karlsson....that's not too bad....

Offensively, Desharnais' line was best tonight, thanks to 67 and DD. Gally is gassed. The two amigos created a lot of stuff in the o-zone.

Should've given Bourque a 5 minute major for laziness on that play

Next practice MT should

1. Duck tape both hands to the players sticks - can't recall so many lazy one handed stick waves at the puck in recent memory

2. 1st forward to leave the zone before the puck does on his boards wins a bag skate for him and his teammates

3. Any player failing to pay the price to get to centre ice before dumping the puck has to do the Theo Fleury goal celebration down the ice - naked

4. Any player drifting either past his own net or the opposition gets tied to the net while Gaston Gingras fires slappers at the goal

5. DON'T practice protecting a 3 goal lead in the 1st period EVER, just keep playing the f***n game!!

Helluva shift for Desharnais. Now's the time to extend him... by seven inches.

Seriously, Montreal was horrible in their own zone. Nashville forwards given tons of space, juicy lanes left wide open, messy coverage. We were damn lucky.

Glad of the win.

Missed the game, was busy getting yelled at by youth hockey coaches.

Apparently I'm the worst referee ever.

Add to that mandatory press box the next game for a blind pass that results in a turnover (most do).

And, the Habs need to spend an entire day practicing short passes and puck patience. Just because the puck comes to your stick, no need to immediately get rid of it.

Another game proves Therrien sucks.
I love how you try to tell us that DD was useless except for that play that won us the game and a couple of other plays.

Newsflash: Most offensive players don't create a scoring chance every ****ing time they hit the ice (unless your name is crosby/malkin/etc). Offensive players create a few scoring chances for themselves or other players during the game and capitalize on these few chances.

DD was not too detrimental to the team when not scoring to make his contribution usless.

Also, that seqence by Gionta was pretty frustrating, but that's a brainfart. All that it is. He thought Plekanec was going for the point and then realized he was supposed cover it.

Gotta say something else, I am a Bourque fan, but Habs need more out of that guy man. He looked like **** tonight but he's a really, really good hockey player and when playing his best exactly what this team needs.

Well, it'll be as a referee, since apparently I'm not big enough to make it to any high level as a linesman.

Shame. I like being a linesman more than being a referee.

Anyone one know why Subban got low minutes in the 2nd?
