Sigh.
Some of us never stopped

A few wins against bad teams means nothing. And many of these wins really could have, almost should have gone the other way. Have you seen our shot differential?! Sorry man, but that doesn't give me faith at all. We control absolutely nothing in our games, are completely inconsistent, and our line-boggle-bs is beyond infuriating, in part because it pretty much just never works; coaches that can make that kind of thing work get results and elevated play, we get the opposite.

Nothing has changed in regards to him, and he keeps showing how incompetent he is.

I think a lot of ppl here understands that is not only about losing, but his style of grinders mentality and how IMO it kills all the talent and skill we have as well as the offensive development of our prospects.

Without combing through all the previous pages on this thread, assuming Yeo is let go at season's end, who are the top candidates to replace him? Personally speaking, I don't want to see another rookie coach brought in to coach this team. It would need to be an established veteran head coach that has shown success at the NHL level.

If (And i hope) we got a new coach i'm 100% sure Leipold wont let CMCF get another rookie.

OK, I agree...But who? Peter Laviolette? That name doesn't get me all that excited. Any other possible candidates? Ted Nolan? Brent Sutter?

Seriously Yeo...what the hell is he doing to these lines? Why is Parise not playing with Pominville and Granlund? I want Yeo to succeed but that is just crap he's not putting those three together.

Yup. Although I've warmed up to Laviolette's run and gun type of mentality. Would suit our strengths more than what we're currently doing. At least with him, we'd average more than 19-20 shots per game.

What makes anyone think that Parise would be a good fit with Granlund and Pominville?

I heard it's going to be

Parise - Coyle - Nino

What's wrong with that line?

Coyle can't win a damn faceoff, and that won't be any better against the Chicago Blackhawks.

All we can do other than a Parise-Granlund line though. So whatever.

We can only hope, that Heatley brings that same game to this line that he did with Zucker and Coyle..

We've seen him suck the life out of those two too much for me to expect anything good.

Yeo is a moron. He continues to bang his head against the wall repeatedly.

Heatley had a few good games. Doesn't invalidate how terrible he played for almost the entire season.

Im very warm on the thought of bringing in Lavio.
That way we could finally get some production out of our players.
Though with Lavio we HAVE to sign a good tender to tandem Harding. If not we are ****ed.

Im so ****in sick of this grindonagrinderthatgrinds ****..

And that Heatley picture was hillarious!!

About Laviolette, what i hear...

The Good:
Team would develop a more agressive game, more shots, more neutral zone play and north south game.
Skilled and talented players would have more freedom to use their skillsets.
Defensemans participating more.
Our prospects, Granlundoia, Coyle, Brodin, Zucker, Haula, even Fontaine could develop more their offensive game.

The Bad:
More risks. "Since playing grind is safe".
Defense could be actually worse than it is (it's complicated, but for the wild would be an interesting case cause our forwards already have an aproach for two-way game and playing defense, now the D..)
Needs a really good Goaltender.
Laviolette can easily "lose the room".

I just don't know what's so hard for Yeo to see.
Parise-Granlund-Pominville
Heately-Coyle-Zucker
Cooke-Brodziak-Nino
Fontaine-Haula-Mitchell

Suter-Brodin
Scandella-Blum
Stoner-Prosser

I'd actually like to see:
Nino - Granlund - Pominville
Heatley - Coyle - Zucker
Parise - Haula - Fontaine
Cooke - Brodziak - Mitchell

It really isnt that hard to figure out.

1st- you figure out who are your centers. Not too tough to do with Koivu injured. It's pretty clear to me that Granlund/Coyle are your top 2 centers with Brodz/Haula on the bottom 2 lines.

2nd- Who has chemistry/is a good fit together? Out of the guys that I would consider for the top 2 lines, only Granlund and Pominville have really shown to be better when they are together. Parise, Nino, Coyle, Heater, and Zucker reall havent shown that they play better or worse because od certain linemates.

for the bottom 2 lines. IMO- Cooke-Brodziak-Fontaine has proven to be the Wilds best version of a 3rd line so far this season. This leaves Haula and Mitchell for the 4th line.

3rd- Fill in the rest. You have Granlund/Pominville, who best fills out that line? How do you balance out Coyle's line? Start with Parise, IMO he's a horrible fit with Gran/Pom. Parise is all about dump and chase and getting on the forecheck and creating problems. Granlund tries to play this game at times but isnt very good at it, and Pominville has zero forecheck game.

Next question. Does Parise fit with Coyle? I think he does, they both like to play down low around the net. Coyle is also strong enough to win the board battles that Parise creates on the forecheck.

Now you have Coyle/Parise and Granlund/Pominville with Heatley, Zucker and Niederreiter left to fill out the lines. My guess is that Yeo has liked what Coyle and Nino have done together lately, and also likes that Nino gives this line a better chance to match up against one of Toews or Kanes lines. Zucker/Heatley is a toss up, and I'm guessing there's a decent chance that Zucker will get a few shifts with Granlunds line. Maybe Yeo likes the Idea of Zucker with Haula?

One last thing. With the lines that you listed, who matches up agains Toews? Kane?

Yep the less time Parise is on the ice the better so stick him on 3rd line
