Yeah I love giving the guy flack, but he's become a lot more accepting of all things Clode. A LOT. To the point where I want him to go back to being a pessimistic db. I'm never satisfied, that's for sure.

He used to say "best case scenario, The Bruins win the cup and fire Clode"

I can usually only handle maybe an hour of Gresh & Zo unless its all hockey. But I must say I like listen to Bob Socci with Gresh. I hope he gets put on more in the back up role to Zo.

According to industry sources, Entercom is eliminating the sports flash updates on WEEI as of March 1. Hosts will give the updates.

What has always cracked me up is that on both stations the hosts pretty much break all the new info anyway before they would go to a break and have an update.

Agreed, I think flash guy is just repeating everything 20 mins-1 hour at a time. Then if there is truly a breaking story (Iknow with the sports hub) they throw on this music and make a big production out of it. Hence making the flash guy useless like 5-10 minutes later.

Still confused by how Felger eats up Burnside's article as if it were gospel, yet he has the eye to read between the lines of a Fluto or Washburn article.

Because he is not sure which person should tell him what his opinion should be.

I think today's rant against the Globe summary of the Sabres game proves Felger was just sandbagging so he could criticize the media coverage. Clever plan.

Not sure if Socci put in the time to read up on the hockey situation or a smart intern prepped him nicely, but I thought he sounded pretty good about hockey today. Better than Gresh and Zo.

Burnside: national = good

Fluto: local = bad (sheep, kool-aid drinker, etc.)

Flutos article was pretty bad, I'm not sure what game he was watching the other night but the only way you can write what he wrote is if your gettig spoon fed straight from the Bruins

But that's what puzzles me. He has gone after national writers plenty (King, Schefter). The one difference: He's never called out a national hockey writer/article.. not sure what indicates

I think Minihane shines whenever they do the "Answer the Question, Kirk!" segment. His sarcasm is perfect for that type of thing.

Both morning shows had segments in the 9 AM hour that were perfectly suited to their strengths:
- D&C had a good interview with Jeff Van Gundy on Rondo, Celtics and the NBA in general
- T&R had a funny thing about Inside Edition busting pot smokers snowboarding in Colorado

With WEEI getting rid of flash guys, does this mean Sports Hub might get rid of Jon Wallach, or will he be kept around as a personal 80s laugh track for the hosts?
