The only RA on the Rangers non-tendered was Dan Blackburn. Blackie will never be the same because of his injury!

I am interested to see who the younger UFA's will be. I have heard that there are quite a few players that teams will dump because of their salary.

blackburn may still resign with the rangers-- but it would probably be at minimum salary or a tryout contract for camp to see if he can compete with 2 blockers

Mark Eaton, a much improved d-man. Invited to U.S. olympic camp last week-- should be cheap.

I don't think Washington qualified Zubrus.

well the Sun said they Qualified Berg, Antropov and Ponikarovsky.

but that's it, nothing else, no press releases, nothing, so either the guys working on mapleleafs.com are lazy(as evidenced by the Gonchar profile snafu) or the fax machine is broken again.

How much was his qualifying offer set at? I can't imagine they'd let Zubrus go for nothing, especially with Ovechkin as their core player now, a young russian like Zubrus would be a welcome addition you'd think.

Zubrus is staying. My mistake. He didn't need a qualifier as he was a restricted free agent last summer.

Ponikarovsky was qualified last summer, and didn't sign, so the Leafs didn't have to qualify him again.

Should Domi re-sign, the Leafs will either trade Belak or send Perrott to the Marlies on a minor-league salary. Belak received a qualifying offer of $798,000 and Perrott was qualified at the league minimum of $450,000.

Also qualified yesterday were centre/right winger Nik Antropov ($1 million), defenceman Aki Berg ($1.1 million) and defenceman Karel Pilar ($450,000). Chad Kilger, who was picked up on waivers at the trade deadline in 2004, was not given a qualifying offer, but re-signed with the Leafs on a one-year deal at $475,000.

The qualifying offer the Leafs made to Alexei Ponikarovsky last summer still stands and with the 24 per cent rollback, his offer stands at the league minimum of $450,000.

New Jersey qualified everyone except Jan Hrdina.

I'm somewhat surprised to hear that Eaton was non-tendered by the Preds. They clearly have some young guys that they want to work in, but a team in need of a cheap, reliable #5/#6 guy with a bit of upside to perhaps play second pairing should be looking his way.

its too bad the kings didn't take any further chances on barney ... he played well when he was with the big club but alas, the injury history did him in...good luck to him...

pirness would make a very good 3rd liner for someone else in the league...

Maybe not younger but Matt Bradley & Michal Rozsival were untendered by the Pens.

Ramzi Abid & Rob Scuderi are free agents now as well though the team has agreed to a deal "in principle" with Scuderi.
