Get the injury bug out of the way early.

Yikes. Might see two closers lose their jobs this week (Veras and Lindstrom). STL/PIT for Veras and 7 games @ Coors/CLE for Lindstrom.

Of the two Veras will be the first one to be demoted cause they actually have a viable replacement (Strop), while Lindstrom's main competition is on the DL. But you might want to bench Lindstrom this week anyway. I know since I already had both of them, yuck. If Broxton is still on your wire try to get him, he comes off the DL tomorrow and has the gig for a few weeks anyway.

Strop is a must add. I also like Daniel Webb to take over for Lindstrom should he falter this week. Cleto is the wild card but his peripherals are awful and he's struggled with control in the past. That's a no-go for the closers role.

If you're really desperate for saves and want a couple of speculative adds you should grab Josh Fields. Bo is running Fields, Qualls, and Albers out there in a committee. But Fields is the only one being held out there for 9th inning duty. Ryan Cook is off the DL now. Jim Johnson looks like he's forgot how to pitch. Doolittle is the best pitcher in the pen but the A's are notoriously cheap, my bet is they keep him out of the closers role for arbitration reasons.

I drafted Nate Jones and took a colossal hit to my ratios early on and ended up dropping him for Webb. I drafted and stashed Broxton, picked up Strop and Fields, and have Papelbon (who looks awful) and D-Rob to round out my pen.

D-Rob pulls his groin. Down goes another one of my closers. Kelley is the add. Jesus.

Someone in the league where I had Veras already added Strop after his save (and before Veras's second blowup), argh. So basically I'm down to 'just' Kimbrel, Grilli/Melancon and Broxton in my 12-team league.

And of course I have Robertson in my other league lol...it's an 18-team league so closers are at a premimum. I had to drop Lindstrom (who I couldn't really stand to look at anyway) to pick up Kelley. I also traded for Street before the season and have Broxton so I'm well protected there still at least.

Jimmy Johnson was pulled from a save opp. Likely Luke Gregerson's job. Cook a speculative add. Doolittle the best pitcher in the pen but a lefty.

Went to the game last night courtesy of my work. Tanaka is filthy. 10Ks on the night.

On the other hand, Shawn Kelley sucks. Lucky he made it out of the 9th with 2 ER.

Jim Johnson looks like a dumpster fire. Nathan has a "dead arm."

Grab Gregerson/Cook and Albuquerque from Detroit if you're looking for a speculative closer.

Billy Hamilton will be in AAA by July. Impressive speed. He couldn't even hit in AAA.

No way... Even as a pinch runner he can win you games.

I don't see the Reds stunting the development of one of their better prospects. He's not a pinch runner. It's not September.

If he can't hit he'll be sent down.

Just like that Johnson loses the job

A's say Closer by Committee. I think Gregerson takes the job and runs with it.

Billy Hamilton wont be sent down. I highly doubt that. Yes the kid is still learning how to hit big league pitching, but he has a better eye then most realize and even with a lower OBP it will mean more because of what he brings on the base paths. I go to Red Spring training every year, this year he was doing MUCH better then he ever has, watching more pitches bunting more and creating from the top of the line up. The Reds are very high on him and he picks up things rather quickly from what i hear.

Only time will tell but id be very surprised if he is sent down at all.
