I really want him to get another gold..

But I don't want Canada to have bragging rights for another 4 years!

Why not? We invented the game, stands to reason we dominate at it

it's the same in any sport/event, no one wants the same team to keep dominating! (Unless that's your team)

Bergeron showed once again, what a complete player he is. Moved to the wing from his natural center position, aqdjusted and by the Gold medal game was IMO one of the best players on the ice. Boston is so lucky to have him , not flashy but what a complete player. BERGERON IS A PLAYER THAT WINS

His positioning on that line allowed Crosby and Kunitz to make pinches. That line was a takeaway machine all game.

It's almost as though Team Canada was built with Bergy's game in mind.

Having Claude behind the bench couldn't hurt either. Bergy should have at least wore an "A".

Yeah I think it should've been Toews (C), Crosby (A), Bergeron (A).

absolutely agree. he was especially locked in today. Bourque-esque. i don't know who else to compare him to. certainly no other Bruin since Ray could dominate all over the ice like that.

Bergeron is the conscience of this Bruins the way O'Reilly was on the Lunch Pail Bruins. Love our top two centers- winners

I'm not sure it was expected he was going that much ice time...he basically went from 13th forward at the start to first line status by the end...he had a awesome tourney; should have had a couple of goals too...

I don't think I have ever seen Bergeron look faster or stronger than in the final 2 games of the Olympics. He was a very big part of Canada's win.

Whatever line he was on, he was the best fore checker and back checker on most shifts. Not sure how was possible, but he somehow managed it.

I think Benn - Crosby - Bergeron is the best line Team Canada could put together.

And watching both play one shift after the other, Bergeron is noticeably better defensive forward compared to Toews.

I'd be pretty okay with Patrice following the Milt Schmidt route and being with the Bruins in some capacity forever.

I think he'd be an amazing coach.

This!

Of course, we'd have to make some room beside Chara.

Kirk has done a wonderful job capturing the essence of the man and the hockey player.

Bergeron is my kind of player--he represents the best elements of a great team game.

Add:

1x Spengler Cup Championship

1x Selke Award winner

1x King Clancy Award winner

1x most points / Jr WC's

1x MVP / Jr. WC's

1x NHL Face-off leader

All this done with NO all-star nods except in one Jr. WC's Tournament......and there isn't a GM on the planet that wouldn't kill to have him in their line-up.

*EDIT:

Currently he's:

tied for 2nd among forwards in +/-

Right behind Sobotka in faceoff percentage....while taking more than twice as many draws. (1st in road faceoff percentage / 2nd in ES faceoffs)

The Bruins are currently 6th in goals scored / 1st in goals against / 2nd in goal differential

......kind of amusing too that Kessel was named best forward of the Olympic tournament. Too cop a well known comparison: What would you rather have on the ice? 5 Kessels or 5 Bergerons?
