What a steal!!!! 59th overall pick for Fedoruk?!?!? Burke got fleeced on that one. Maybe we should have tried Brashear for the second overall....lol

This looks like a steal. A second round pick for a guy who has yet to become anything more than a sparingly used enforcer, that is a nice trade. If he needs replaced, it can be done easily.

Now I'm just hoping Clarke stays put at number twenty for tommorrow rather than overpay to pick Ryan.

I'm wondering though if Clarke might be loading up with picks to possibly make an even bigger splash.........

Well how much do I love this move? (-----------------------------------------------) That much, and that is A LOT. Useful minor leaguer but not really fit for any significant amount of NHL minutes. Sweet return. Mmmmm....do you smell what the Clarke is cooking?

I do.

And it tastes like Stanley.

Fantastic. If Brashear is going nowhere, then this makes total sense. Todd was going to struggle for ice time, and he is going to a team that could use an enforcer who is not a talentless goon. Good luck to him.

Thats what I was thinking. Added a great pick to possibly throw in a trade, however I dont see ANA taking that one back so CAR/MINN is next possibility.

Landing the No. 59 overall pick for a reserve enforcer is outstanding asset management by Flyers GM Bob Clarke. Fedoruk would not have supplanted Donald Brashear in Philadelphia, so Clarke should make far better use of the second-round selection. He's probably not done dealing, either, since Clarke would like to move up in Round 1 of the 2005 draft.

nice

nice nice trade.

yes could very well be, we is loading up for a purpose, and if not, the depth in this draft is good in some areas. good for defensemen who are #3-6 dmen. Johnson is the man on defense he is number 1, he is gonna be something special.

If Clarke actually can get into the top 5 without destroying the team's chances for this season, he will have to win some type of award, or be investigated by the league. Is there an award for GM of the year?

I'm typing this with one hand, because I'm beating the deet.

(And no, I don't believe there is such an award)

From Anaheim? If 1 + 1 = 2 than...probably 2nd overall. And Burke's kidney.

LOL and ROTFLMAO

Looks like Burkie has a whole new stock of second rounders to squander. It was running joke in Vancouver. Has to rank up with Burkie's fleecing by the Devils Fast Lou who peddled Vadim Sharijanov to Canucks for a second rounder. The "Sherrif" played 17 games for Vancouver (2G 1A 3Pts 14 PIMS and never played in the NHL again - his last club was Gap HC in the "elite" league in France were they play a grueling 28 game schedule)

But for TODD FEDORUK??????

Career potential - Part time enforcer.
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/player_b...30&hubName=PHI

Jeeez Burkie I know you were Flyer property at one timebut really do you have to give them such a gift.

And people still wonder why Burkie was pink-slipped

But Brad's comment is going to look really bad when the avatars are reinstated.
