I know, yet let just say it looks better than Russia, US or Sweden. I would not have bet that Canada would have beaten the US a 2nd time.

De la Rose - Eller - McCarron

That line would be a whole lot of meat and potatoes. Doubt they'd ever score but they would be a giant pain in the ass to play against.

Well Canada looked awfully bad till the US game. If we don't win against the US, we play the Russians. Not sure we win there. Now...we beat the Finns, and we're playing for the Gold. All this while looking rather ordinairy to say the least till the US game.

Yeah i suppose

we'll just have to chalk it up to Canada always having a decent shot ever year just on the countries talent alone, we'll never be completely outmatched in a tournament

I think people underestimate the potential effect of a line like that getting rolled regularly over a 60 minute game. Guys get ~20 shifts per night, and are lucky to score on 1 of them. Gotta be doing other things to make your team hard to play against for the other 19 shifts, too.

If McCarron can get a faster first 2 steps that line would be devastating forechecking wise. Would just be horrible to play against, especially smaller back ends. We would be able to do to teams what they all do to us, would be a lovely change of scenery.

agreed bigtime, the size and relentlessness of that line alone would make it difficult to play against, and i disagree with the other poster saying "doubt theyd ever score", im sure theyd have their fair share of goals

DLR and McCarron aren't exactly finishers at this point. Now they could very well develop some touch around the net but at this point they're bangers and crashers with Eller being the one who can finish.

Either way, we're miles away from a line like that but it's something nice to think about!

I really think he is better than Colberg. Colberg is a bad version of Nicklas Backstrom thats it and will never make it to the NHL he doesn't know the word intensity.

Collberg reminds me of Martin Erat or Ales Hemsky. So skilled but always leaves you wanting more.

Collberg has definitely left me wanting more. This is the first time I've watched him in a tournament, so maybe some of you prospect experts know better, but he seems ineffectual and a bit of a floater out there.
Is it me, or is he lacking a little hockey sense and a whole lot of intensity?

Collberg is yet again injured and still created chances so I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. And he had two good assists this tournament as a result of effort.

There's definitely concerns about his hockey sense though.

There is nothing Reway could do against a Hard checking Sweden team.. Not 1 single scoring chance.. that was a sample of what its going to be like in the Pro.. Good luck kid!

Coldberg was pretty quiet today.. Pretty frustrating kid to watch, as much as I liked him against Finland, there are games where he doesnt look interested at all.. Was certainly not very dynamic today.. hopefully he step it up for the next 2 games against much better competition..

DLR will be a NHLer in 2-3 years from now..

Big games need BIG boys like DLR and Forsberg

Reway and Collberg might never reach the NHL.
