Looking forward to two two-day breaks for the Hawks this week. Gonna be just chilling and watching quite a bit of other games on my iPad this week.

Mark Lazerus ‏@MarkLazerus 8m

#Blackhawks are 11/2 favorites to win the Stanley Cup, according to @BovadaLV. #Pens and #STLBlues next at 13/2. #SJSharks next at 15/2.

Mark Lazerus ‏@MarkLazerus 12m

Sidney Crosby is a 1/6 favorite to win the Hart Trophy, according to @BovadaLV. Patrick Kane is second at 13/4. 1/6? Who would bet 1/6?

Nobody. Vegas is very confident in Crosby winning the Hart.

Yep. Don't know why it wasn't scheduled for 11:30 to begin with. NBC was never going to play at the same time as a Conference Championship Game.

Nabokov pulled from the Isles game, apparently pulling his groin or a muscle in his leg.

Their backup immediately lets one in.

It took me a minute to figure out what conference championships you were even referring to I'm so done with the NFL already after the Bears flameout.

Tavares has a monster game with a hat trick and two assists in the Isles win over Dallas.

Columbus downs the Rangers in the shootout.

The best part about that is that the Islanders were down 2-0 (might have been 3-0, was watching the BCS Championship). Then the Isles stopped ****ing around and scored 7 goals

Yeah, after their backup let one in on like his first shot faced, would've thought that Dallas was about to pile it on.

Glad I kept the game on split screen throughout.

I watched a replay of the Canucks/Ducks game from Sunday yesterday, saw the last 10 minutes or so of the 3rd and OT. Unbelievable stuff! Ducks were down a goal and completely dominating. Lack kept standing on his head, then finally gave up the equalizer with a couple of minutes left. Then the Ducks scored with 0.6 left in OT. Unreal!

Shots fired!!

Luongo on his Canucks focus: "Winning Game 7 against Chicago (2011) was just as exciting as the gold medal (2010)."

If anything, it gives a good player's perspective on what really matters, RE: League/Cup vs Olympics/Gold.

I hope that doesn't get looked at as stupid by the majority of people. Beating your rivals, especially hated rivals, that have kept you out of the playoffs two years in a row has got to feel great. Especially when the nucks were as good as they were that season. I'm sure they must have felt that if they could get through Chicago, they could get through everyone.

It was probably the same for the Bulls when they finally beat Detroit.

Well, several Nucks fans have said that slaying the dragon that was the Blackhawks was the highlight of their fandom a while back when the topic came up on the main board, so getting over that hump shouldn't be downplayed.

Granted, that means their franchise highlight was a first round playoff victory, which is a Coyotes level of sad.

I'll bet it did feel pretty good for the Canucks and their fans to win that series.

Just like how I felt pretty good when they lost in the Cup finals.

Man, am I ever glad I am not a fan of a team that acts like a 1st round playoff series win is equal to a gold medal.

It's nothing. Hawks were a 3 legged dog that year and the Canucks barely beat us that series. They almost choked up a 3-0 lead on a broken down 8th seed. If the 2011 nucks beat the 2010 or 2013 hawks then I'd give em props.

Or drops a metric ton of confetti after winning the conference.

Tavares followed up his 5-point game with 3 assists tonight so is now tied with Patrick Kane for 2nd most points in the league.
