Buggs just so you know IMHO age has zero impact on nerd level. Itís just most nerds I knew are pretty successful professionally so they end up with all the material possessions that throw off the scent.

Lots of old nerds nowadays; we grew up reading paper comic books, playing Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, watching Star Wars, playing NES, and Ultima and whatever on early 'gaming PCs'.

There's a room in my basement. If you could see it, coupled with my age, you'd know that I understand that statement. Better than most.

And yeah, if anyone wants to buy about 13 long boxes of comics from 1984-1992, let me know.

I think it's more a case of traditionally nerdy things becoming mainstream (e.g. computers and fantasy fiction). True nerdy stuff is still nerdy (rock tumblers, pocket protectors, D&D, etc.).

So, I'm still without a computer. I sent my new rig back to NCIX on their courtesy because, while they apparently got it to post, I couldn't get it to when I got it back. They tested it yesterday and found the HSF or CPU defective, so they're replacing both the board and CPU. God, I hope this fixes it.

Probably should have started a Steak Day Thread. I'll remember that for next time!

Anyway, the steak was great. Good color, not too much fat, great taste, and good size. Much better quality than recent Jets games. Although that's not saying much.

The one thing that I find weird: playing online games, and listening to some of the players on the other side of things like Halo - very strange. I think I started playing video games long before MANY of those players were even born.

Embrace your inner nerd, I say.
Playing online keeps you young. Also makes you shake your head a lot.

Really pumped about my move to Nova Scotia. My job is great, the community is amazing, the scenery is gorgeous, and it was 10 today. Green grass everywhere! Also there are cows in my front yard.

Now to get my stuff...

In terms of the people, I've heard nothing but great things. Are you moving from Winnipeg, or somewhere else?

Guys: Who is good with grammar and writing? Any editors around here?

I'm working on my application for an international german company in Frankfurt. It will be my first application/CV all in english. Therefore, I'd like to get a real native to have a look at my english (expressions, grammar, spelling). Somebody bored today and may help me?
