I'm working on my application for an international german company in Frankfurt. It will be my first application/CV all in english. Therefore, I'd like to get a real native to have a look at my english (expressions, grammar, spelling). Somebody bored today and may help me?
I would recommend YWGinYYZ or Jet. I hear they like correcting people.

If you can't find anyone else to do it, I can look through it for you. I'm not as good as an actual native speaker, but I'm better than nothing!

I'm up, and I have a couple of hours to kill. I'm no editor, but I do a lot of it, being a university student. I do speak English, so there's that. Feel free to PM me

I joined a while back and posted every now and then on the Canucks board. I think I first applied to be a mod when the Jets came back and had maybe 200 posts. I was denied.

I've always wondered, how do you become a mod? Do you just get selected?

Once in a blue moon, the administrator, together with a select few of the global mods and team leaders, stop begging me to become a mod. Then they draw a name from a hat and name that person mod.

The show's strength is the chemistry between Harvey and Mike and I think Louis is a great weasel and they definitely got the correct actor. Another strength is the content and writing around the business story lines in each episode so far.

If I was giving advice I would tell them to drop the troubled past buddy and girlfriend triangle tension. Trevor is cast wrong and Mike already has the relationship tension with Meghan, on top of that they already have Mike exposed to danger with the fact he was hired under false pretense so the entire angle is redundant. The old buddies should have been written out after episode 2 or 3 but my sense is they won't be around long. You only have 45 minutes of content per episode and you have to pick your god and make it count.

I like Donna as Harvey's executive assistant but am not sold yet on Jessica as the managing partner. I might have written and cast that differently and although she does have an interesting relationship with Harvey I am not sold yet that they have done all they can do with the dynamic a managing partner could bring? That being said it doesn't get in the way of the main theme which is the mentor swashbuckling Harvey and his nimble and bright protégé, they nailed that one and it makes it all work.

Without spoiling anything, I think it's safe to say by the end of season two, the plot lines with his former friends are more or less played out/tied up. I could be wrong though, I haven't started watching season three yet. It's tough, because it's necessary to give some reason for Mike to get in the position where he got hired, but I think it could have been done better. Anyway, the show is best when it's focused on the firm, and I think the writers realized that, so I have a good feeling about it moving forward.

Also the title theme is kickin' rad.

Yea I agree another show that is like that is Newsroom. It had immense potential if they would have stuck to the "Newsroom" but the relationship angles are so corny, Junior high, and over the top it makes the show unwatchable for me

Anyone watch Archer? Incredibly crass, and very funny. Friend mentioned it to me a couple weeks ago, and I've been binge watching the old seasons.

Did I mention it's crass?
