ROR is way overpaid...

And isn't a number one C, while Statsny can be had for zero. End rumour, Colorado fans overvalue their players everytime. I don't even want that horrible contract and Bolland is better. Let's just keep Gardiner and move on.

I hope by some miracle, the trade goes down when this kid was in fact making that story up. HF members would look at him like some insider spilling the beans on potential deals for years to come

How would everyone feel about this roster going into next year. Trade Reimer for Petry, move Kadri and Gardiner in a package for an upgrade on center. Left Bolland walk or deal him at the deadline, sign a veteran backup, let Raymond walk.

JVR- Center from trade- kessel
Lupul- Bozak- D'amigo
Kulimen- Holland- Clarkson
McClarren- McClement- 4thline UFA/Ashton

Gunnerson- Phaneuf
Rielly - Petry
Gleason- franson

Bernier
Vet UFA

Good mix of offensive and defensive guys on the back end. Good mix of skill speed and grit up front.

I would rather trade Franson then Jake. But even if we did trade Gardiner I would still hope Nonis wakes up and trades Franson out also guys a waste of cap space.

I'd rather trade Gunner than Franson or Gardiner

I like Gunner, he's a solid, reliable dman but IMO most easily replaced

RHD are hard to find
Gardiner has a lot of potential

You will see Clarkson on the 2nd line sooner then you think.

saving grace of all those contracts (Kessel, Phanuef (not so much now), Clarkson, Bozak) is JVRs

Everytime I watch Petry I wonder what the heck he is thinking.

I'd rather let Reimer walk than have Petry in the line-up.

I have never understood the fascination of petry by some leaf fans. it borders on creepy obsession. he's just awful.

taking him for reikmer is a great use of assets...not

I find myself wondering the same thing with Gardiner most of the time. If he could just re-gain his hockey sense from 2011-12 we would have a heck of a player on our hands.

we should try to get buff or yandle

they should be easy to acquire now that they are
not good enough to make the US olympic team.

See I'm using the same logic for trading dion that many
posters on this board used. Many of the posters who
try to make up things about dion use this reason all
the time so it must apply to the same guys that these same
posters think are better than dion.

so lets get one of these bums

despite being big player Buf is a disaster on defense side of being a defenseman..

Don't we have enough offensive D...

We got Gleason lets let him try and fill bottom 6 role and then decide come March what we need

I was using sarcasm - next time ill putthis in

my point was posters saying we should trade dion for prospects and draft picks becasue if he was any good he would make team canada. Just using
their same logic with players they rate as good or beter thand dion.

though if you do remember it was BUFF who most single handedly caused luuongo
so much frustration by going hard to the net and with his size no one could move him ala chara in boston on the PP.

Hopefully Mark Fayne makes it to UFA and we scoop him up.

Gunnarsson - Phaneuf
Bottom 4: Mix of Rielly/Gardiner/Fayne/Franson
Extra: Gleason.

I think we should bring Komorov back, he brought an element we seem to be lacking and he generated considerable power plays from players taking shots at him
