I don't know. In today's NFL I think all around LBs are still valuable as they are hard to find.

If he's a good pass rusher & not just above average then he's probably worth it. He could turn out to be a great rusher if he's put in a consistent rush job.

Instincts are big to me. He has a knack for making plays.

If you don't need a QB or OT he's probably the highest prospect available. There's only 1 impact Rusher ahead of him. I'm not a fan of WRs early unless they're just ridiculous.

He's landed himself in a good draft for his potential.

By everyone. This isn't some Z0MG CRAZY THEORY. Every single person out there who was mocking had him as a top 5-10 pick (closer to the top 5). Once he showed that he couldn't stop the run he started slipping towards 10 (teams weren't running directly at him most of the year). His mediocre combine dropped him even further. He's been falling since about mid-season.

I would say Barr went from possibly top 5 but def top 10 to
Possibly top 10 but def top 20

I don't thinks he's free falling as much as draft season rounding into form. He's always been a guy getting picked on potential because he's an athlete who's just learning defense.

Giants have a ridiculous secondary now and nabbing DRC is a great move by Reese, but I still don't know how to feel about the front 7.

Still worried about the offense, too.

We desperately need a WLB & some good luck with JPP/DaMonster. That could make a stud defense.

Offense still littered with question marks.

DRC
Prince/Thurmond
McBride
Hosley/Rookie

Hill
Rolle
Brown
Demps

I'm really curious how this affects the S position. Brown may not see much PT.

Can someone give me the skinny on all the acquisitions? I've never been able to keep up evaluating all players on all 32 teams. Turnover and careers are too short.

BPA in 1st (if Lewan drops, take him, if not go, with Evans).

If Evans, take OT in 2nd. If they take OT in 1st, maybe a TE like Niklas or ASJ.

Sims or other RB in 3rd.

Giants addressed some of the OL and the secondary through free agency. Awesome.

Get me a Playmaker WR or TE, another OL, and a pass rusher in the draft.

I would love Evans. Kid will be a player. Physical wide out that can run all the routes.

Schwartz is guy who played really well whenever he played. Had been primarily a backup but played a lot last season. Can play either G position well & possibly RT decent. Figures to start at LG may take over for Snee eventually at RG.

Thurmond was Sea's primary slot CB & was extremely good at it. 1 year prove it deal.

DRC has been a good CB when not asked to cover the slot. He was very good on a 1yr deal last season in Denver. Known for speed.

Demps is primarily a KR specialist.

Walton is an oft injured C with terrible pff grades. I know nothing else about him.

Jennings is a solid RB whose produced on 2 different teams while mainly being a backup. Not young but hasn't played a lot. Played very well for Oakland last year. Can catch the ball well. Has some power.

Actually I've read that there are concerns about short area quickness & his ability to run all of the routes.

He's definitely good at deep routes & making contested catches.

He accels at exactly what NYG lack though.

Wow. You must think Barr can't play in the 4-3 at all then!

I heard that. They don't like the way he runs routes - too unorthodox. I call BS, he creates good separation. I just like that he seems to have that will to go and get the ball.

Lol. "Everyone" except the actual nfl teams. His combine numbers were fine.

Offense still littered with question marks.
I'm still on the Shazier in the 2nd round thing. He is the second most explosive athlete in the draft. (After Clowney)

Offense we just know very little about. Assuming Walton is healthy, I would expect him to start at center. So that's 4 of 5 known starters, with RG being the question with Snee and who else? Maybe Mosley steps up? He played well at RG last offseason.

The need at WR I'm not sure of how big a need it actually is. This offense may spend a ton of time throwing to backs and slot receivers, with little need for outside receivers. The giants do have some good receiving backs, especially if Wilson is healthy.

The real question mark for me is TE. Robinson and Donnell have shown nothing but haven't had a big opportunity yet either. Maybe they step up? I would assume the giants draft a TE at some point, though I don't think it will be Ebron. Though Ebron does remind me a lot of Finley, including the crappy hands

I'm fine with Randle, Cruz, & Jernigan. I feel like they can succeed as a group. Draft 1 or 2 WR in mid rounds.

TE is a total question mark.

The OL is littered with question marks.
Can Beatty rebound?
Can Schwartz live up to it?
Center?
Can Snee still play?
Can Pugh become a good T?

Can Mosley or Herman play?
