I wouldn't be happy, JR...

Atlanta, in my opinion, just became a serious competitor, likely for the next few years if it can hold onto Heatley and Kovalchuk.

This is gonna be one hell of a team to play against. If they could grab a defenseman or two, then I truly believe they could be a major threat.

Fletch--I'd rather him boost Atlanta's chance than the Devils because the only way the NJD's add a guy of Holik's calibre is if he was going to give a hometown discount which I felt he would not to relocate his family but now he's off the market and the NJD's miss out on the much needed size and toughness amoung their forwards so it worked out well IMO.

As for the Thrashers they still need to add a top 2 dman and even after that their top 6 is pretty ugly right now and Lehtonen isn't ready for being the #1 on a playoff team yet IMO so they have a ways to go despite them obviously being on the rise.

As for Heatley-Kovalchuk, IMO one of them will bolt as both will be seeking max deals and will have plenty of offers when they become UFA's a few yrs down the road.

Holik's in a much better situation now to do what he does best. I agree though their defense corps is pretty shabby.
