Don't think you can have a single compliant about this deal from either side.

What a deal. Love being a Ducks' fan right now.

This dude is a warrior and deserves every single penny. Congrats Cogs.

Well done.

$3 million is a great deal!

He may be small but he plays with more grit than three quarters of the Oilers roster.

If my post history went that far, you'd see that I knew then what I know now.

Thought it would be closer to $4M, excellent deal for Cogs and ANA.

Solid contract. Even if he can't keep up with the pace seen this year, it's still worth it.

His scoring has very little to do with why he is so important to the Ducks. Even if it dries up in a big way this will still be good.

What a great deal for the Ducks. Have been enjoying watching Gogs play recently.

Really happy with this.

He's come along way from when he first arrived in Anaheim. Really transformed into a great 3rd liner and Defensive forward that can chip in with some goals.

I was just talking about how I want Cogs to stay in Anaheim long term and few hours ago. He and Bonino are a couple of the most underrated depth forwards in the league. He is an absolute warrior. He'd go through a brick wall to give the Ducks any kind of advantage. Was skeptical at first after the trade but he's absolutely a necessary piece to the puzzle. I'm overjoyed with this news

yeah, i get that part. but no one else showed interest in him? a 2nd seems so cheap for decent young talent.

Exactly. The offense this year is just a bonus to the vast amount of things he contributes to the team.

I can't believe I ever had the thought of Bob Murray being fired crossing my mind on a regular basis. Other GMs can learn from him how to rebuild or retool a team. The tandem of him and Boudreau have been spectacular for the present and future of this team.

This was a wonderful deal.

No idea if any other teams were interested, but he was coming off a year where the Oilers had finished last for a second time. Not the greatest showcase for potential trade partners

Either way, congrats to Cogliano, I have good memories of his OT winners and wish him all the best.

His value was really low when he left Edmonton, he had a few terrible seasons on his way out. Good to see that he regained his scoring touch.
