I guess you forgot the part where Murray tried to sign him?

A healthy spezza would easily score some pts even on the 4th line he had Neil as his linemate this year

Anyways I don't get why ppl are so against having 3 good centers like San Jose

No wonder Soupcan is on the bubble to make Team Canada.

Bad choices at bad times!

If thats how you feel than fine. But someone needs to make sure that something is clear with Maclean.

Do not touch

Macarthur-Turris-Ryan
Conacher-Zibanejad-Michalek

He can choose between JGP,Stone, Condra, and Greening.

We can even call up Hoffman, at this stage, do not touch the two consistent lines

Yeah, he is #63 in scoring, so what? It's nice to skate up and down the ice like the wind, but does it do much. 2pts during the win streak and a -2.

Well, Karlsson is still a -12 player, a -2 tonight. When the team played without Karlsson last year, they still managed to win games.

I'm sure Edmonton is ecstatic and so is Murray and Ottawa.

Like holy crap. I have no idea why any GM would get in a bidding war with Clarkson as the prize - who was 29 and only had one good PPG season ever (the one right before everyone offered him absurd amounts of money).

Try Spezza between Stone and Pageau first. If that doesn't work switch him with Smith

Well, that's what people expect Pageau to do. So many people saying we should send JG down yet as soon as he was paired with decent wingers he was all over the ice doing good things.

But I'm guessing Spezza fanboys wouldn't say the same thing if Spezz had to earn the right to play with our best players. In fact they'd say the opposite.

Really hoping MacLean doesn't mess everything up next week when Jason is back.

Thornton, Couture, Pavelski, Zibanejad, Turris and Spezza.

One is not like the other (helped you out a little bit with that one).

Also, MacLean refuses to play S, T and Z down the middle. Zibanejad is always shifted to the wing. If it's a choice between Zibanejad and Spezza, it's Zibanejad 10/10 times.

Dont forget the near Nash signing too. Awful.

Mac is great though! Murray stumbles ass backwards into these though, a little scary at his misjudgement of UFA's.

Also got to give credit to Turris this year - he's nowhere near as bad with Spezza out as he was last year.

Clarkson is an asset that would have been completely free to attain. Something for nothing. It is just like signing a late bloomer college kid, except you know what your getting.

I think Clarkson is great, and when Nonis signed him he said if he didn't offer that price and term Clarkson wouldn't be playing in Toronto. Clearly we weren't interested in him at 5.25/7.

He is developing as a player, he is still young so last year was not unexpected

Spezza on his game is lot closer to thornton than Turris is to pavelski and zibby is to couture but over time it could be deadly. It took san jose a while to get their players in order

come on use your head the reason is we lack winger depth but with stone and conacher playing well now we have 2 more potential wingers which we didnt have a couple weeks ago.

I dunno, maybe a little. Hopefully the time off help a bit. Turris and Zibby are great, but to do it the rest of the year. Zibby's time is a couple more season down the road. No matter what, other team will still take Spezza serious.

I wouldn't break up the Greening Smith Condra line either.
