A retaliation from Todd for the RDS slam. Beating a dead dog IMO.
But there's one quote in the story I love:
"Finally, there's a reason Brisebois tends to attract so much attention. It's because he is not Patrick Traverse. Because he does have some real talent, in other words."
More of Todd's drivel, with a bit of snivel. And now Jack is a target because he's an anglophone? Gimme a break. I don't recall that Luc Gélinas (RDS "reporter", but that's another story) even mentionned the language isssue. Trust Todd to bring it up, just to cloud the issue.
So basically Tood admits to being a bandwagoner (?)- now that Brisebois is doing better, we'll cut him some slack. What a poor excuse for a sports columnist.
I am so f**king tired of people who get the langage issue out of the closet everytime we talk about hockey in Montreal. WE TALK ABOUT HOCKEY FOR GOD SAKE!!! H-O-C-K-E-Y, HOCKEY.... You know the sport you play on a rink, with a puck and a stick. Who care about your fu**ing langage. If the best player in the world is a 1 legged chiness guy, just sign him and get over it.
Langage issue and french/anglo bashing power trip make me sick. It always start by old crappy anglo collumnist or freaky separatist french moron and both don't give a crap about hockey anyway. Can we just let them play the game and Bob Gainey take care of the moron on our team?
Sorry for the rant but I have to get it out of my chest. I don't want to hear those moronic issue anymore. Please just don't report this crap on the board. Please find me a article on how Tie Domi get beat up by two punk kid on the Toronto subway please...
I don't really understand why Todd has to bring language into it either. The rest of his article was fine tho. Todd likes to talk about the people behind teh scenes, so maybe he is sending a message to someone on "the other side". Who knows. Now we have the press attacking each other and making news. How stupid is this?
It is the first article I read from him, and in some way I liked it. One thing a good journalist must bring is truth, but today's sellout journalism tend to tell the positive truth only. Maybe Todd does talk about negative truth often (i don't really know) but in this particular article he gave some good point about Brisebois (exept maybe the language part), so I think it is a serious article because it have some arguments.
