Also, how about Columbus? Franchise-best seven game winning streak on their hands.

Good to see them coming into their own. Definitely wouldn't mind seeing them do some damage out East.

Never was expecting that Nathan Horton signing to do much for them but his debut seems to have energized them a lot.

They've quietly been on a nice run, no doubt about it.

I would say it is the return of healthy Bobrovsky that has been more the cause of run then Horton

Still hard to believe the Flyers let him go.

Del Zotto should help with transition game and such but yeah this isn't some great trade

Preds could have used Klein to help upfront as you said and Del Zotto has been struggling the last 2 years especially defensively

Is it just me or do Hawks fans view this season as the Hawks are kind of struggling while Blues fans view this as the greatest Blues team they have ever seen? Funny to see them even in points per game.

They are scoring 4 goals/game on their 7 game winning streak as well.

I guess the personnel doesn't matter that much. Nashville will never succeed - ever - with Trotz as their coach.

Shows where the fanbase expectations are, I guess.

Seems all but a sure thing that the Hawks and the Blues will face off in the 2nd round/Central Division Finals (barring either team getting upset in the first round), so what happens now really means **** all beyond who'd have home ice in a hypothetical game seven.

Right. I find it even more a waste of time to worry about Anaheim on the off chance that we may face them in the 3rd round of the playoffs. Regular season is basically meaningless the rest of the way outside of staying healthy.

Poile is a genius though!

I'm so happy that he is the man making the calls with regards to USA hockey. Couldn't think of anyone better.

Poile/Trotz is one of the most overrated coach/GM tandems I have seen. There's always an excuse in Nashville. It's quite hilarious. There's never enough money to pony up for a UFA top-six forward, but they gave how much money to Hendricks (already gone), Stalberg, and Nystrom again? The two best teams Trotz was allowed to coach lost in the first and second round.

Reserving Poile's and Burke's judgement until after the Olympics but trades like these make me believe more and more that those two are totally incompetent.

No matter how well Team USA does, the argument can always be made that the American team could have been better with guys like Ryan and Yandle on it.
