Wow US Womens hockey team play pretty dirty from what I've seen. But it seems our girls are telling them they won't put up with their crap and just about headshot one of them LOL. This is turning out to be a fun one!

Sounded like the Canadian Women had the better of the play, save for the penalties, is that how it looked?

Exactly. Canada had better control of the game, and the US is trying everything to get under Canada's skin. Even taking late hits or slashes when the refs aren't watching. Canada has to be careful not to let their emotions run wild on the ice. Play it safe and get those pucks in the net. We'll be ok.

The US women are kind of like the Canucks. Except tougher.

Of course teams with plenty of NHLrs have a ton of talent and still win.
Teams with very few NHLers play to that fact when they are up against stronger teams. If you get a lead the team behind is in trouble and it can open up the game but when it's close it's easy to shut it down tight.

Women really blew it by not capitalizing on the 5 on 4, 5 on 3, or 5 on 4.

Gotta get more shots through. American are clogging up shooting lanes very well, but we have had open passing lanes. Less blind shooting and a little more awareness and we could be up 3-1 right now. Szabados has held the fort down, she needs some run support here.

No doubt that's the difference in the game. Not even a sniff on the PPs.

US was clearly the better team going into this tourny

Our men are no doubt better than the American men on the whole. That's not to say tomorrow's game is much more than a toss-up, but if we lose it won't be because the US produced a superior roster.

Different case here, I'm afraid. By far the weakest looking Canadian women's team I recall seeing at the Olympics. It's shocking how little offense has been generated and how feeble any of the few shots that got through have been. The US defenders are just much better than our forwards. Really no point in this game where I felt Canada was capable of scoring a goal. Really disappointing.

Agreed. Least threatening I've ever seen them.

And no doubt US was on a mission.

Edit- As soon as I post this CANADA SCORES!!!! 2-2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Incredible!!

Canada cannot have had more than two good chances the entire game up until the final 3 minutes.

I don't believe what I just saw!
