Tue., Jan. 7, 2014| Flyers 3 at Devils 2 (OT)

OFFICIAL THREE STARS:
  1. B. Schenn
  2. Ryder
  3. Brodeur

Quote:
NEWARK, NJ -- Confidence and composure are two of the main reasons why the Flyers have shown the ability to come back from third period deficits.

The Flyers did it again in Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime win over the New Jersey. They trailed 1-0 entering the third period.

This was the seventh time this season and sixth since Dec. 4 that the Flyers have overcome a third period deficit to win.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau the franchise record is nine, which was accomplished in 1996-97

Great fake by Grossmann, where did that come from??

Emery is just not an NHL goalie anymore. Yes, I know the tying goal can't be blamed on him...but watching him completely fail to get back...wow. He's just sooooo slow. That speed is worse than Leighton. That is sub-AHL speed.

There is no way he's healthy, that zombie hip has to be ailing him or something, wow.

I have strongly mixed feelings about that game, but not about the two points.

Grossmann deserves the star of the game just for not ****ing up in regulation and making such a crazy nice game winning pass in OT.

I want to believe that was unbelievable pass, but with Grossmann I think its more likely he was shooting and just missed the net by 8 feet.

Was kinda hoping Voracek could've got the GWG to complete the ginger trifecta, but I'm happy with just the W.

I have no idea how, but that Legion of Dumb line is working great the past few games. Maybe it is because they play against easier lines, but hey it is working out.

I think BSchenn is so invisible most of the time the other teams forget about him too.

Crazy fake slap pass by Grossmann and a nice acceptance of the pass from his skate to score the empty netter for B Schenn. Two points for him, primary on the go ahead goal and obviously the OT game winner.

Sucks giving up the point, but I'm not that worried about it. The Devils are bad

Good win, this team doesn't lay down like they used to as much anymore, feeling good with the Habs coming into town tomorrow.

Man, is little Schenner on fire or what?

Emery almost lost us that game on that weak shot that hit the post. That would have been terrible if that one went in.

Psssh, all you suckers think that was a pass by Grossmann. That was just a normal shot for him, which is about 15 feet wide.

Good to see that Schenn was able to atone for being robbed minutes before.

As far as Emery goes, we definitely need to get rid of him by the time the playoffs roll around.

For the regular season maybe we can get by with starting him occasionally, but he plays about as good as Leighton did for us and he has no lateral movement. Imagine Mason having to be pulled in the playoffs or getting injured ever. It would be ugly.
