The Brick Invitational Super Novice

Hockey Tournament. I have 2 questions

#1. Why do they call it Super Novice when it's 9-10 year olds?
#2. Do teams get invited or players? or is it try out based?

1. I have no clue. It should really be Minor Atom.
2. You're scouted and then have to tryout to make the team.
One of my friends has actually been on Team Brick and I've played against players that were on Team Brick

there's a youtube channel that uploads videos of current and past NHL'ers playing in this tournament

type something along the lines of "steven stamkos brick invitational" into youtube search and it'll pop up. i found it very enjoyable
