have to disagree there, big time.

pavelec is one of the worst starters and probably shouldn't be starting goalie at all.

Pavelec is the worst starter in the league. In no way is he a good starting goalie (not goaler!).

Pavelec has had one somewhat decent season in his entire career. He's not a good goalie. Montoya gives them a better chance to win.

You guys are entitled to your opinion no doubt, but Pavelec has been Jets MVP in the last two seasons. If it wasn't for him, especially last season they would have been down with us looking for MacKinnon.

Lehtonen with ninja save and Lundqvist with a softie.

We are not amused. Not amused at all.

Goaltending (Lundqvist) might be the biggest question mark/weakness heading into the Olympics for Sweden. I didn't think that was even possible. He'll have a great defense and some really good two-way forwards in front of him but it seems like he's allowing a softie every other game.

Really sloppy hockey right now between Leafs and Caps. Leafs PP looked worse than ours.

Kulemin could be a good affordable target for a 3rd line winger next year.

Is Rick Nash a bigger cherry picker than Ovechkin is? He flies out of his zone early all the time.

The numbers don't even begin to reflect that summation. This is not a matter of opinion. Pavelec objectively sucks.

This is not arrogant of me, but I will take what I have seen over 40ish games of numbers playing for a ******** coach.

Grigorenko sent back to the Q by the Sabres and apparently he's refusing to report.

That sucks. Wonder what the options are there. Can he even return to the NHL?

They've been wanting to send Grigs back to the Q for aawhile. Him not reporting gives them that option. It's not like they're punishing him or he's being an idiot. All part of the plan so to speak.

My guess is the Sabres suspend him and he sits until they decide to play him again or he decides to report to the Q.

^ Wow, hahaha.

I just don't understand why they don't loan him to the VHL or perhaps even the KHL. Makes absolutely zero sense.

Thought they had to wait until the Q trade deadline passed then Quebec can have the extra European player. Did they know he'd refuse to report though? What a mess.

Never a good idea to send a Russia back to the khl. they made thier mistake by keeping him in the nhl as soon as he was drafted but now they're fixing it. Although it's become a side show, its the right move.

Don't think you can loan a player to the KHL. Per the terms of his contract, it's NHL or the Q, nothing else. So long as he has a contract he can't bail for the KHL, or so I understand.

Situations like this should make teams think three, four, or five more times before EVER keeping a teenager past his nine games. Definitely a horrid mishandling of a talented but obviously problematic player.

How is it Kovy went to the KHL then? Can't anyone leave? Or is the issue getting back to the NHL?
