If Reims is going to be successful tonight, he can't play like he wants to impress Carlyle, he has to keep it simple and just play his game, his style, his way. We know his game is ugly but honestly, its the only way that works.

I'm jealous of the Canes' young skilled 4th line.

Well, that's not typically the 4th line. With Lindholm just getting back from Sweden, they said his body had not yet caught up with the jet lag and his legs aren't back yet. Plus with the injuries to Nash, Staal and Tlusty, it's thrown everything out of whack.

If this game is anything like the last, expect to see J. Staal and Malhotra play a lot of minutes.

Take this to the bank... the 1st line will be huge tonight and the Leafs will come out in a cranky mood.

Leafs win... book it.. I'm never right ...

Lol....surprised Phaneuf didn't get suspended...every other beauty hit he's thrown lately has gotten him suspended!!

A Leafs loss combined with a Washington win today would see the Leafs fall 3 positions in the eastern conference standings with NYR, Carolina and Washington all moving equal or ahead of them in points.

With the tie breaker regulation wins and Leafs having the most SO wins they wouldn't win any tie breakers with any teams.

So this is a crucial must win game or the pack will officially swallow them up and a couple teams like Sens and NJD also within striking distance with another win for them.

Sadly, the Leafs will be outshot and definately outworked but steal the win with a hot Riemer. Sound familiar.

Correct...I assume the thinking was it's better to let Holland develop in a top 6 role on the Marlies than get (unjustly) saddled with 5 mins a night with 2 plugs.

If I were the leafs, I would just let Holland play big minutes in the AHL. Save our 2nd rounder until we get closer to the playoff picture. Our 2nd rounder might end up being quite a high pick if we keep losing games like the last month.

He's playing 4th line anyways. Hardly missing any meaningful minutes. Let Ashton get some NHL playing time since he's the most NHL ready winger around. Hits, fights and if he can develop a good defensive game, we have our next kulie.

Jack Johnson hasn't amounted to much honestly..

Trust me, the Canes fans laugh at no other teams' defense. Last year, we had Corvo, Sanguinetti, McBain, and MAB .

Even this year, when you get beyond Faulk, Sekera and Hainsey (who is ill and may not play), they are quite suspect.
