However, interesting thought, Edmonton needs a goalie pretty bad as well, and you have too many firsts to sign for the long term... give us RNH, TH, JE, JS or your pick for Reims and we'll be planning the cup route
We won't be making any significant moves at all until we get McDavid.

He's getting fired, there's no doubt in my mind but if I'm him I absolutely torture this team. I start benching guys , I work them harder than they've ever been worked in practice and I roll four lines. They don't want to learn , they don't want to compete, then I make their lives a living nightmare. The ship is going down and he might as well not go alone.

Firing the coach is an easy out. Instead of chanting fire Randy chant fire Franson, Fire Kadri
That's interesting to note. In New York's case, they have a #1C in Stepan, a more-or-less elite top pairing of McDonagh - Girardi. I'd argue that their mid and bottom pairing is a lot more balanced than ours. While I see very high upside in Rielly, and even Gardiner, it's as offensive defenceman. On the other hand, Marc Staal ( mid-pairing #3) is strong defensively and I'd rank over Gunnarsson. Forgot about goaltending, on paper, we look a lot weaker.

I withheld from wanting him fired for a long time, but I can do it no longer.

His baffling line decisions, and misuse of young players is what ticks me off the most. Sitting Gardiner for Mark Fraser is inexcusable at this point. Icing a 4th line with Orr and McLaren on a regular basis is a terrible idea.

Its time. Either do it now so we still have a chance, or wait until the summer so we plummet right to the bottom.

You're half a season late but you are welcome to the club.
