One of the worst playoff performers I have ever seen.

This year raymond played like he always does yet he could barely get a contract.

And now you think you will get a 1st for him? OMG that is hysterical. Give your head a shake.

No one will want him just like no one wanted him last summer.

Canucks would give anything to get him back.

Raymond is garbage and I was sick of him for a few years as a Canucks fan. He gets knocked down as soon as there's contact with him. He needs to be on a free running flowing team in the Eastern conference to have any success.

He's the type of player that has the speed and skill, and will always show it for the first stretch of games every season, then completely disappears.

He's just the ultimate playoff warrior and clutch performer. Can't get enough of this type of player on your team. His value is immeasurable really.

With so many teams close to the cap limit his 1 million cap hit that can be lowered to 500K is what can set him apart.

A 2nd + 4th or 5th is what I'm expecting. That's what Kostitsyn returned a few years ago.

If he's the 8th or 9th piece on the forward depth chart he can be a valuable piece.

Woops must be in the wrong thread, thought this was "value of Mason Raymond at the deadline" not "Vancouver fans insult Raymond thread"

Someone might throw out a 2 or 3 for some depth on their run but that's probably being optimistic

I'm guessing you've never seen Mason Raymond in the playoffs have you. Canucks fans have full right to say bad things about Mason in the playoffs, since he's been so bad that I'd pt a venture on 4th line players like Adam Burish have out scored him in the playoffs.

This is a guy who produces well when the hooking and holding calls are being called in force like the beginning of the season, once it tightens up and there isn't room out there he's invisible.

At best a team desperate for warm bodies cough up a middle pick or a middling prospect for Raymond to be 9th forward on their team.

What's hysterical is your piss poor reading comprehension. I said he would get us a 2nd round pick and wouldn't expect more but there could be a very slight chance that he could get a 1st, as in 28-30th overall pick. As for the bolded, you're trying to hard.

I read it just fine. You state, as above, he can get a late first.

No one wanted this guy. He had to beg for a tryout and you took him. If you think you can trade him and get a real asset you are delusional imo.

I'm not saying exclusively he can get a late first. I'd expect a 2nd round pick, chances of his value being anything more than that are very minutiae. And what does a real asset mean exactly? You think he'd get nothing?

Can see him getting an ok contract next year. That being said, some people may say Canucks fans are piling on Raymond, but his post-season history is truly abysmal. I don't see how anyone would want him in the playoffs. Regular season, sure.

And the winner is LAK for Toronto's 2nd rd 2014 or 15 in Bernier trade.

I don't see his value more than a 3rd round pick. I could see us just re-signing him for cheap again.

Nonis would have to really fleece a team desperate for offense to slide him off for a early to mid 2nd. Might be something that could be done with the Kings if they're not paying attention.

If he keeps playing like he is now, he isn't going anywhere because no one is going to want him. At the beginning of the season, he was an alright player and I thought it was a good signing for the Leafs. As of late, you never even notice him on the ice. Which could be good because he isn't the biggest liability on the team, but his offensive production has been sub-par.

The idea he could get a 2nd seems nuts. The only reason for any playoff team to trade for him is for injury insurance. I'm thinking maybe a 3rd for Raymond + 7th or something like that.

I'll laugh hard if any playoff team pays a 2nd round pick for Raymond....

Same could be said of a great number of Leaf players. It all stems from our beer league defense core not being able to retrieve a puck in our own zone. It's tough as a forward to produce when the D can't gain possesion of the puck and subsequently give up 50 shots a game.
