Beer leaguers, what number do you wear?

Curious to see what your number choices are

steve thomas was always one of my favorite players growing up so for me it's always been #32 on every team i've ever played on except one since i joined mid-season and 32 was taken. so i settled on 37 since it kind of looks like 32

One comment. Stay away from juvenile comments trying to sneak in a certain two digit number. Thank you.

My league provides the jerseys so I go for a small jersey and then pick from whatever number is there. If I can, I'll grab 12, 5 or 3.

I've been 48, 15, 26 and 27. I prefer 48.

As a kid I wore 15 but I've been wearing 37 lately after Rypien. I'm totally fine with either one of them tho.

13. It was the number given to me. So I'm
ok with it, I'll be 13 from now on.
I think Billy Guerin wore 13 at some point,
so that's cool.

I wear 5 right now, but the one day I managed to be of any use to my team I didn't have a team jersey and was wearing a different number (32 I think), so maybe I should change numbers if I ever get the chance!

15 - was assigned by the team as it was one of the spares (without name and so on)
16 - with name, chosen as it is one-up from 15

I've had 8, 65, 19....I wear 65 at the moment because I am an offensive defensemen and I model my game around some guy.

I wear number 9 for obvious reasons. I wore number 8, 18, 64 and 77 in the past. I only get to choose from a list of numbers available. If I could pick any number, it would be 28 (after Alexander Semin).

When I started playing I rocked the #14 for Theo Fleury. Then switched to #93 for Gilmour (also as it's a badass number). Right now I'm back to #14 on one team, and had my pick of #17 or #77 on the other. Took #77 so I can pretend I'm Pierre Turgeon (the skills part, not the being horribly injured and never regaining my full game part).

50 when I get the choice.
I'm 7 on the team where I didn't have a choice. Not that it's a bad number of anything.

#14, i was always a smallish player and looked up to Theo Fleury as a kid. Ive worn it on every team ive played on since i was about 10. Now my kid wears 14 cause he thinks dad is awesome. Haha

27. Power forward, which doesn't really work well in non-contact leagues, but whatever. Have been for as long as I can remember because baseball was my first sport and it's more or less the 19 of baseball.

58. We have customized powder blue Pens jerseys so everyone calls me Letang, haha.

Nothing to do with hockey though. I was/am a big fan of Derrick Thomas, the former football player for the KC Chiefs. His number is 58. I figured that number would never be taken on any team I'm on so I went with it.

40, so I don't have to change numbers whether I'm playing goalie or skater. I play on a couple teams where I sometimes rotate, so it keeps it easy for the scoresheets.

Used to wear 10, but a buddy of mine really wanted it so I gave it to him. Switched to 78, I was born in 87, but felt that wearing 87 was a tad too ******* and would land me in the "what gear will get you chirped at" thread.
