21 - Love the look, just like the number

19 - My number this year and I'm captain, playing like Naslund?

4 - Again, didn't have much of a choice in numbers, faster skater so I guess I could compare myself to Hall?

Still want to wear #9 in honour of Paul Kariya.

This year I went with 64 because of Nail Yakupov and Mikael Granlund. For the longest time it was number 8 because of Teemu Selanne. It goes perfect with my Jofa helmet. In the past I've worn 96, 18 and 22

My favourite number to wear for whatever reason is 43. This became even more so when Darren helm joined the wings.

My other beer league number Is number 68, which I chose because when I was growing up my dad had the gnarliest Jagr mullet of all time. Full on 4th grade in the front, recess in the back. So I chose that number over many other suitors as a tribute to my dads Jagr mullet.

I wear #20 because that was the first number I was given when I first played organized hockey. I've worn it pretty much throughout my hockey career when available although I'm not really "in love" with it. I just don't know, I'm not really in love with any number.

I like 5 (birth date) and 27 (because of McDonagh) so my next jersey will probably be one of those two. I wish I was born in '91 because I actually really like 91, but don't really like 90 that much lol.

Edit: I like 2 as well because of Leetch. Maybe I like a few more than I initially thought

As Goalie, I got with 29 31 or 50

As forward I go with 14, 49, or 89

Goalie numbers come from the jerseys I wore winning championships.

Forward numbers are from childhood numbers and 89 is because it looks cool as hell with a jersey tuck

Started off wearing #19 after my favourite player (Steve Yzerman), then moved to a new team and #19 was taken, so switched the numbers around and took #91 (a'la Fedorov). I've recently been signed to another team and of the first 20 numbers only #19 wasn't taken, so I snapped it up.

To be honest I'd be happy with either #9 (Howe), #19 (Yzerman) or #91 (Fedorov).

Nice bump, from now on I'm sticking to 48. Never wearing 26 again in my life.

I'm a goalie and it looks old school...and I'm kind of cocky.

I actually saw some guy with a 3-digit # a few weeks ago. You'd figure more of them would pop up, but he was the first I'd seen.

I wear #13, it's the day I was born. For a couple of seasons I wore 84 (year I was born) just because I always got beat to asking for #13.

Mainly just tradition this website has some good information.
http://www.hockeygoalies.org/faq/numbers.html

As a skater I was #13 which is known as an unlucky number. When I switched to goaltender several of my teammates wanted me to change it. Don't want an unlucky number in the net. So I just flipped it to 31, plus being a Blues fan I grew up on Cujo and Fuhr.

I like 13, because most consider it unlucky. But I take what I can get, in a youth rec league.
