It's amazing what this team can do when it's skill vs skill. Too bad we don't always play teams that aren't bruisers. Great game on the whole, though the number of missed chances that made this game go to overtime were ridiculous.

Too bad not every team is smallish skilled teams, or else we'd be in the running for the cup.

Time to get some size in this lineup, because we don't have Chicagos skill level to be competitive while not having a big team.

We have bigger guys coming hopefully over next few years. Tinordi, Beaulieu, De la Rose, McCarron (later)

I know Parros had a good game but we should seriously callup Andrighetto,Thomas or Leblanc

Hopefully. As it stands now we are a very skilled team that can hang with the best of them, but as soon as things get rough we collapse.

Seems a bit strange you counting Beaulieu in that number because even though he has a bit of size I don't see him as a size player.

Ultimately, we need a few players in our top six with size so McCarron and De La Rose are our hope for the future. Our D is on the small side, but not nearly as overmatched as our top six.

Glad for the win. Chicago didn't play their best game, to be honest. Chicago looked miles better at times but IMO the only thing keeping the Habs in games is the goaltending. Still a mediocre team getting by on other worldly goaltending.

Really nice first game back for Parros, I actually thought the puck hit him in front of the net on the first goal to go in.... Good to see the big fella on for one. Also made sure that Mr Bollig minded his manners when he was upset at Emelin for throwing a few big hits.

Speaking of Emelin, he looked like the old Emelin from last year tonight. Threw a couple of punishing hits, and made smart plays. Hopefully this was the turning point and a return to form.

Doug Murray had another solid game for the Habs as well tonight. Thank God Bouillon was benched. Hopefully he stays NAILED to the press box forever.

Gallagher played with some fire, and even dropped the mitts with another flyweight. Entertaining bout!

The major stars for the Habs tonight though were Subban, Markov, Plekanec and Price. They are our best players and they played like the world class players they are.... Subban shut down Toews and punished him a couple times along the boards. Markov was the scoring hero with both goals, and another superb effort.... Price closed the door on almost everything, and Plekanec shut down the best players and did all the work on the Overtime winner.

Great game to watch, and by far the best team effort of the year.

We actually match up well against big "tough" teams that lack speed, like the Bruins.

Our biggest problem is big puck possession teams - the Kings and Blues especially. They don't go for intimidation the way the Bruins do either, it's just we can never recover the puck from them and resort to hopeless dumping and chasing.

This team does not do well against big teams. Period. Kings, Bruins, Blues, Flyers. Any team with some size has their way with us. We've got a team that competes on paper, but not in reality.

In the last 5 matches between MTL and BOS, MTL is 4-1.

best game of the year from a few guys...emelin, prust, plekanec. Great job by subban/georges on the shut down role as well.

Can't expect an effort like this every night, but it certainly was refreshing. Just imagine if bourque and gio are replaced by bigger skilled/role playing wingers to play with plekanecs!

I thought murray and diaz played well too! oh and the 4th line played their role as well as ive seen them this season

Just a fantastic game. I would love to see more CHI-MTL games they're always great hockey.

Subban needs to be the shutdown, 1on1 guy every night. It focuses his game and helps him maximize is effectiveness.

Plekanec is simply amazing. Really hope he still has gas left in the tank when Galchy becomes a solid centre.

Price and Crawford were fantastic.

Let's hope and pray the Devils game is half-exciting Go habs go!

Most of us don't. We just don't want to see us losing him for nothing. Big difference.

Typical Habs fan overreacting on one game.

Twas quite the game he had, anyone will concede that. But he wants a 4-year deal and won't come cheap. I'll save the gloating for when he re-ups.

Are they that good against BOS? Never would have guessed.

What's their record against St Louis and LA?
