Y'all are crazy, Edler's magnificent. If he played on Detroit you'd all want him, you know it's true.

Now play well and don't make me look foolish, you sleepy *******.

While they may not be exact they definitely show trends.

The primary trend they show is whether the player tries to push things offensively or not. The most productive players in the league often have the most turnovers.

The Canucks need to keep turning the other cheek. Play hard within the rules, don't stand down to anyone, but keep the nonsense to a minimum. After a terrible few seasons of officiating, calls are starting to go the Canucks' way.

Mike Richards has regressed. Kopitar went 25 games without a goal.

Best possession team in the league, and it's not even close.

It's the same thing the Kings have done the past couple of seasons - underwhelm in the regular season, dominate in the playoffs.

Dan Murphy ‏@sportsnetmurph
Dalpe is likely going to start tonight's game with the twins, according to Torts.

Tortorella still not pleased with Edler's suspension and thinks it de-railed him.

Ben Kuzma ‏@benkuzma
Torts on Edler's return: "I thought when he was suspended, it kind of went off the rails a bit — he lost a little confidence."

Ben Kuzma ‏@benkuzma
More Torts on Edler: "It took him time to get his confidence back. We want him in areas where he can succeed and get straight mentally."

I think what Tiranis was trying to get at isboth Hamhuis and Bieksa are the primary puck carriers out of the d-zone for their pairings. More time with the puck more opportunity for giveaways. Just my observation.

Edler looking to get back at it physically with the Kings.

Ben Kuzma ‏@benkuzma
Edler: "Right into it is good. As a D-man against that team (Kings), you know you're going to get hit. I'm looking forward to battling."

Ben Kuzma ‏@benkuzma
More Edler: "I'm never going to do something that's not allowed. I have to be physical and it's one thing in my game that has to be there."

kings fan here. I think you guys are do for a W in the head to head match up.
Always produces a good game.
As several people have pointed out there should be more a push back from your club if a kings player goes near the crease.

Alex Edler on his return to the line-up against the Kings:

Remember boys and girls - always respect your Edlers.

Interesting Ryan Kesler stat - he ranks fifth in NHL road goals with 13 of his 17 goals coming away from Rogers Arena.

The anti-Wendell Clark if you know the old saw - played like Wendell at home and Wendy on the road.

We're here talking Canucks 24/7, with guest visits from Province hockey writers every weekday game day. Jim Jamieson is here at 2 p.m. on Monday to set up the Canucks' appearance in L.A. against the Kings.

Feels like the Canucks are slowly righting the ship as they work their way through this mini-slump. Tonight should be a good indicator as to whether they are on their way to playing the type of hockey they need to in order to beat the better teams.

Nice to have Edler back, should ease the load a bit for some of our other D.
