I'd be shocked if Perlini fell to 17. However, nobody thought that Mikhail Grigorenko would fall as far as he did on his draft day.

Actually, I would not be surprised to see him fall to the 15-18 area. I would, however be shocked to see him fall to the 18-22 range.

It looks like we'll be picking 18th if I'm looking this correctly.

It's 17th. The 13 non-playoff teams are ahead of us, as well as Dallas, Detroit, and Columbus.

Not that it means everything but I'm curious to see how much he jumps in the rankings.

Where was he ranked previously?

Fiala is a late 1st early 2nd. I'd say go for Kapanen, Tuch, Milano for wingers. Fleury or Honka for D-men.

I'd love to grab Fiala at 17.

At 17 I don't think Kapanen, Tuch or Fleury will be available. I don't think the Flyers would draft Honka. I would not mind Milano but from what I have seen I like Fiala a lot more.

I wouldn't be so sure, a lot of those lists are old (not that it means everything). He's probably going to shoot up a lot of teams draft boards after a good U18's.

Is Fiala a more natural scorer and have a great two way game (or just not ****** defensively)? How NHL ready is he?

Playmaker. He still needs to mature physically, but he's already had success in the SHL. Probably wouldn't be unheard of to think he is ready in a year's time.

Is he Giroux-esque? Not saying exactly as skilled, but similar kind of player?

I don't this draft has many NHL ready players outside of the top couple picks. I am not even sure Ekblad is totally ready. He probably has a ETA for the 2015-2016 season.

He's a playmaker. Tends to slack off defensively sometimes and miss his player, but that will come with maturity, just glue him to Couts and that will be fixed. I could see him being 1-2 years away from the NHL, just needs to grow into his body - he's got decent size.

Pretty much, there could be some camp suprises but as of right now I would just count Reinhart & Ekblad down as the only two good bets of playing at 18/19 next year.

Reinhart is big enough to get by in the NHL & has nothing left to prove at the junior level anymore.

Ekblad probably isn't ready skill wise but he's too big for the junior level & has done enough to move up to the NHL. It would probably be a wasted year in development to send him back so a teams just going have to let him take his lumps next year.

I don't think we're drafting someone who plays in the SHL, with this team mentality i expect that we're taking a NA skater who plays in NA.

You never know, they did take Hagg last year & had him as a first round grade on their board.

We took Hagg last year. Don't see why we wouldn't take Fiala if he is BPA.
