The all-purpose Jets thread of trivial stats, incidental streaks, and other fun facts

This is just for kicks and besides... why should Beyak have all the fun?
Anyway...
The Jets are now undefeated in games where Ron Hainsey is on the opposition. March 22. Will the streak continue?

Spencer Machacek is ranked 13th in franchise +/- with a +6.

Shane Hnidy is 2nd all time with a +16.

Fun useless facts!

Last season Monty got paid more per game paid than Pavelec!

Monty played 7 games at 600,000 = 85,715 per game
Pavelec played 44 at 3,250,000 = 73,864 per game

Lol anybody want to do the dollar per percentage point?

Dennis? Dennis, is that you?

I love the random factoids, but not while there's action on the ice - I wish Beyak would wait for face-offs or other such static times during the games to blurt out his latest trivial stat.

This franchise has what may be the biggest first overall bust of all time. Patrik Stefan.

Was that 8-2 record the first time the Jets had the best L10 in the league?

Morrissey's previous best point finish was 47 points in 70 games. This season he got his 47th, 48th and 49th points in his 39th game.

Anyone seen the This Hour has 22 Minutes where they interview Crosby prior to 2010 Olympics.

EDIT: lots of numbers and trivial stats

I could be wrong about this, but:

No player has been suspended for an action against the Jets (2.0).

The last Jets 1.0 victory I witnessed in person was on a Saturday in December vs New Jersey (Dec. 29, 1995). The first Jets 2.0 victory I witnessed in person was on a Saturday night in December vs New Jersey (Dec. 3, 2011).

Andrew Ladd has missed 1 game since 07/08. I don't know the stats before that, he played a few games in the AHL.

In 390 games with the Jets, Dave Babych was -130.

Makes Buff and Olli looks good doesn't it?

As for a useless trivia goes....

Someone mentioned that the Jets 2.0 do have the current longest streak in the NHL without a player notching a Hat Trick.

Also..... Jets 1.0 still hold the NHL record for most short-handed goals in a single game with (4).

Who Holds The Record For Fastest Two Goals In An NHL Game?

This amazing record was first achieved back in 1931, only to be repeated only [sic] in 1995. The first hockey player to score the fastest two goals in an NHL game was Nels Stewart. They were only 4 seconds apart. The date was January 3rd 1931 and the lethal sniper was playing center for the Montreal Maroons.

Stewart’s record has not yet been beaten. But, it has been matched! The player that matched it was Deron Quint, some 64 years later! The defenseman, not known for his scoring prowess, scored 2 goals within 4 seconds as an NHL rookie playing for the Winnipeg Jets in the 1995-96 season.

I think Quint is still playing in the KHL, if I'm not mistaken - too lazy to google it.

Does anyone else have any old 1.0 Jets games on VHS? I taped a few of their last games knowing that they were almost done. I've got Calgary at Winnipeg on Hockey Night in Canada.
Also Curt Keilback's last ever Jets broadcast and the last regular season home game against Los Angeles although I accidentally taped over the first period. This is the game where the Jets clinched the playoffs and Tkachuk scores his 50th with one second left.
I also have their two wins against Detroit in the playoffs.
Didn't keep the final game though. Too painful.
I'm only just watching these again since the original broadcast.
