Every time the Habs win, I get texts from my Leafs fans friends and it's all these complaints and conspiracies about how the Habs were gifted points. Yeah, we didn't deserve the 2 pts tonight.. but the Leafs certainly don't deserve 9 points in the standings for the shootout.
That was hands down the worst/least deserving win I've ever seen. We got a lucky bounce to tie the game, Subban's goal was weak and we got completely dominated for 40 minutes straight. Anyway this game sealed it for me, Therrien HAS, not should, be fired after this game. It's a joke. How can you not use your time out in a game like this? How can you not reunite Subban and Markov when your team is doing awful anyway. These are the type of moronic decisions that cost coaches their job, see Darche on the PP over Cole with Martin. Anyway I swear we were playing better than this when we finished dead last in the east ffs. No intensity, no CHARACTER, no physicality... Just moronic decisions after moronic decisions, why would you put your 4th line (including the great hockey mind: George Parros) in the last two minutes of a period when you just gave a goal. IT MAKES NO SENSE! Another thing that blows my mind is how the team started playing well defensively and 'fermer le jeu' AFTER THEY WERE LOSING? WHY COULDN'T THEY ****ING TIGHTEN UP IN THE 2ND WHEN THEY WERE STILL LEADING 3-2. SHOULDN'T BE TOO COMPLICATED TO BREAK THEIR MOMENTUM AS MOST AS YOU CAN. Jesus Christ.
Anyway, call up Leblanc, get rid of Bourque (I used to defend him but **** him, he's so ****ing lazy it's unbelievable and it's not like he has a whole lot of talent either). Call up Pateryn and trade Diaz away. These would be my pairings: Markov-Subban, Emelin-TRADE, Gorges-Pateryn.
Bergevin after multiple performances (including this atrocity) HAS to do something. And I don't mean firing Gallant/Daignault or trading for another Drewiske. HE HAS TO GET A GOOD FORWARD OR A GRITTY DEFENSEMAN. I'm tired of Therrien but Bergevin probably doesn't have the balls to fire his ass after a game like this.
Karlsson first star... ? Obviously a bigger impact on the result of the game than Price, right? +/- of 0 despite creating 3 goals in an overtime loss... Guess his 3 points were big in getting Ottawa 1?
